South Carolina BS thread under new MANAGEMENT and lives in SC

Not that I'm a panthers fan but...

 

10-4, yup, i dont mean to paint a negative picture about the area. We love it in CLT. there is traffic everywhere, you can beat it by planning accordingly

 

thats what i do get to work at 6am then leave at 5pm

 

Charleston also has traffic everywhere but I'm not sure it's possible to beat it there.

 

I love it here in TC. Its a nice area, full of down to earth, family oriented business professionals. Having the Lake AND the River is a nice bonus. Not much of a golfer, but many here are.

TC has lots of parent volunteerism in schools, Scouts, sports, etc. Tega Cay Mom's Clubs is strong too. Random, but the city's Athletic/Sport Director is from Huntington Beach, CA. Many from CA here- they wanted out!

Ever since Charlotte annexed the entire Steel Creek area- it has exploded! Great thing about Rivergate- its only 3-4 miles or so from where I live. On east side of SC HWY 160 (or gold hill rd??) they are building a huge Marriott property. Both the TC/Fort Mill interchanges will be revamped soon too. Love having Carowinds and the US National White Water Center close too.

Indeed! So many folks are moving here. Glad I don't commute on a regular basis- but can still get in and out of the airport in about 30 mins or so in rush traffic.

 

We were within walking distance to Rivergate. It was great, loved the SUPER Target but wished there was a movie theater. Not bad though because both Phillips Place and Stonecrest/Piper Glen were short drives and really nice. All there have here in g-ville are walmarts...walmarts everywhere.

 

SC is widening their part now- that road gets badly congested! NC is not doing anything. All the SC portion is/ will be 4 lanes. The intersection @ gold hill and 160 is currently under construction- big time! Also, they are trailblazing a road from the Walmart shopping center to pop out near the new Tega Cay elementary- specifically to help relieve that intersection. Glad I don't have to commute!

 

Indeed. Not the biggest fan of Walmart. Love the RIvergate center though. Did you ever go to Ayersly theater- just up on S. Tryon?

 

Never did go to that theater. We would get discounted regal tickets through AAA then use our regal card to get free stuff so that drove us to the others. I've heard that is a nice theater though and that shopping area is also nice. Be careful around the Lowe's and Walmart there and going north up S. Tryon until you get to southend, it can be a little sketchy. I was a manager for Lowe's and we would joke about having to wear a vest at that location.

Well I get to head up to Brevard for some fishing this weekend! brother in law got a nice cabin and we have a couple of guides to take us to some "private" waters. its just going to be nice to be back up there again!
