Hey guys got an annoying rattle coming from the glovebox/passenger footwell area on my 15 TRD sport. Its driving me nuts. Its nothing I can manipulate or touch from the drivers seat as far as I can tell. I was just wondering If anyone else was having a similar noise. THe noise is only under light/cruising throttle.

Either you are hearing the slight noise of the blend door, or you can try emptying out the glove box and driving to determine if it's something inside.

To determine if the noise is the blend door, turn fan to OFF and then RECIRC to ON so that there is no air flow from the vents.

I have the a noise coming from the glove compartment area in both my 2010 and 2014 Tacomas, but its a bit more of a buzzing. After reading through a few threads concerning the same issue, my hypothesis is that the offending noise is coming from vibrating wiring bundles. I'm going to load up on electrical tape and foam insulation, remove my glove box, and have my wife drive around until I pin point the source. From there the tape and foam insulation should do the trick.

Started to get that noise on my 2013, haven't really tried to chase it down yet but it's something with the door of the glove box or something the glove box is touching behind it, because when I open the door the noise goes away....of course my stuff then proceeds to fall in the floor so that's not a good solution

Are you sure it is in that area? I ask as I had a rattle which sounded like it was in the same area then I found that it was the passenger sun visor so I took a USPS priority mial envelope and folded it closed the sun visor killed the rattle.

So I went ahead and took out the plastic wire holder near the blower fan behind the glove box, and zip tied the wires running underneath the passenger seat. This seems to have worked. Did a test drive and no vibrating-irritating sounds.
