Need some advice guys. One of the headlights in my wife's MDX has more than a little bit of moisture in it. There are no visible breaks or cracks that I can see without taking it out of the SUV. Is there any way to draw out the moisture? I know the best option is to replace the whole assembly.

Do your wives share the MDX? Lucky man!

You can use silica packs and a hairdryer. You'll likely have to take the housing out of the vehicle to get to the bulb opening. Anything you do will only help for a while because water is getting in somewhere.

This will work, you will need to determine what is causing this. I had same issue- the result of switching to HID's and the rubber boot that goes over the bulb not covering 100% since the HID is obviously stock. What I did was add a ton of electrical tape behind the HID, and installing boot and sealing it with more electrical tape- this has held up.

As for getting moisture out- i did not want to remove headlight assembly since a pain and I knew i didnt have any cracks. What worked for me and i suggest is cut about 1-2 feet of rubber hose (water hose) remove bulbs and stuck the hose in bulb hole- this will allow you to use heat gun/blow dryer which will wipe away moisture within 2-5 min depending on how much you have. However, you are not done. I found this out the hard way. Moisture is still in headlight eventho you don't see. That is where the great idea of silica packs come in.

I just took apart a clothes hanger- and taped like 4 silica packs to the end and left in housing for about 4-6 hours. Might need to repeat this process 2-3 daily for 1-2 days depending how bad you have. This will work- I just literally had to repeat this yesterday due to rain and washing my truck.I actually had a post about this a few weeks back- and some great guys gave me tips on repair. Blow dryer and silica packs will work! hopefully you dont have any cracks.

If you do have cracks- tons of videos on youtube on how to fix yourself. Feel free to ask anymore questions- ill be glad to help. I know this is a pain.

I had moisture in the headlights of my truck, what I did is took my headlight out and drilled 3 small holes along the lowest part of the housing, It took a day or so but eventually my headlights cleared up and never had a problem since
