I created this for all of the Virginia Beach / Hampton Roads 3rd Gen owners to communicate, post pics and share important information. Let's see how many there are out there.

Are the dealerships in Hampton Roads willing to negotiate? What kind of deals are you guys getting? I grew up in Chesapeake but moved to NC 6 years ago. Bought a 2002 Prerunner from Charles Barker and had a great experience. I'd consider making the trip for the right deal.

I paid 34,500 for mine... DCSB manual TRD sport with V6, tow package, tonneau bed cover, 'free' all weather mats, not 100% sure what else... Got mine at McGeorge Toyota in Richmond

I looked all over the east cost in Late NOV and early DEC. I finally found mine on Cars.com and called the dealer. I had to fly to MD to get it. They covered the price of the ticket. I had a deposit on two that ended up falling through. They are a little more plentiful and easier to find now since it has been a few months. One of the places was Charles Barker in VA Beach. They were pretty nice to deal with. There were a few around, but not quite what I wanted. I will tell you that now a days with the internet, it is harder to get big$$ off. That is because of access to information. The dealers know that you can get one elsewhere. They generally don't have a huge markup for that reason. At all of the dealerships I dealt with, the "TRUE CAR" price was the best. I would suggest going through them, but look around. That is only my opinion based on my own experience.

Mine is coming from Checkered Flag, had a deposit through First Team but evey time I checked with them regarding my order, they didn't have an allocation. Checkered Flag gave me a callback and said they had one in the pipeline for me so I moved the deposit from First Team to them.

Bought my first gen from Checkered Flag back in 04 and had no problems at all. When I First approached them, they had no QS OR LB coming in.

I live just a few miles from Priority Toyota but they just wanted to push the metal on premises, not take an order.

I test drove the white DCSB OR at Charles Barker but they didn't seem concerned with taking an order, the white one was an order a guy had already backed out of. I liked the white truck, just didn't want another shortbed.

The thing that's killing me around here are all the silly dealer addons (aka, the pure profit, take it in the tailpipe package). $800 at one dealer... $1200 at another dealer. I have no interest in this and hopefully I can find a dealer that is willing to order, not add the dealer addons package and sell it near invoice. Probably wishful thinking :)

Congrats, I've got a garage full of tires, wheels, truck box waiting to be installed, still waiting on the sliders and OEM roofrack to be delivered.

Wheels are the TRD Pro that will be on 265/70/17 Terra Grapplers.

No intent to lift but I may switch to 5100s later. I have them on my 1st gen and love them.

Got a call yesterday the truck was built and will be delivered sometime between 16-20 Feb.

Hey Guys - I'm in VB and starting the process to buy one. Heading to Charles Barker this afternoon to look/get info (hopefully the rain stops). Which dealers in tidewater have been willing to work with you on ordering one? I don't see much inventory on CB's website. I'll check out "truecar' based on what Hooyah said.

You can also try Checkered Flag, just ordered mine through them. Charles Barker is also a good place to work with.

I wouldn't deal with CB again personally. Went there and tried to get them to find a truck for me, come back a day later and all he had found was that there was one matching what i had asked for in Richmond, but he hadn't made any arrangements to bring that truck to VB or anything. He continued to give me the run around about it, while I ended up driving to Richmond myself later that day, and thats how i got the 'McGeorge Toyota' license plate cover

Hello Fellas! Got my new Taco in January. Waited eight-and-a-half weeks for it. So far my adds are: N-Fab nerf bars, mud flaps, TRD grill badge, Toyota exhaust tip and bed mat, and hitch plug. My ordered options were: tow package, tri-fold tonneau and carpeted floor mats w/ sill protectors.

Bought mine at Casey Toyota. Got $1,300 off msrp but the addon was $498! And, after taxes you feel like no deal at all! C'est la vie!

Well CB Toyota didn't have much on the lot, and didn't want to move much off of MSRP on ordering one. Gonna try the true car route.

2016 BBP/DCSB/TRD OR checking in here (landstown commons area). Just picked up the truck last week. New to tacomas, new to this forum, and new to IFS trucks in general. Does anyone in the area have their 3rd gens lifted yet? Priority in Chesapeake (where I bought mine) has a 3" lift for $1000 installed, but it's just a spacer lift front and rear. From the little I know about spacer lifts/IFS, that isn't great. I'm highly interested in a 3" suspension and possibly a 1" body to fit 33/12.50's comfortably. I would love to see what you guys/gals have done to your trucks possibly in person. Thanks in advance for any help!
