Powershell is a million times more powerful than bat. I've got a few hundred powershell scripts that I have written and use frequently. The ability to use output as an object is great.

Even the admin assistants use PS to manuipe spreadsheets where I am... It is powerful, very much so. But I am locked down so much I can hardly use the .vbs or .cmd scripts I have developed over many years. Although I normally spend much of my time in a telnet session in a different OS. But to your post I say Fuck Your China, lazy ass bastards!!!! Truth....

There are pictures of me in the Russian Archives when Russian Bears would fly over trying to discover how the US could do an underway replenishment at sea. Most of the time I was at the throttles, that was my punishment for having the "touch". But for what China is doing today I have to say that there is no nuclear weapon that is too trivial to solve the problem. One of the reasons that I am not invited to policy shindigs anymore.....

Not really an IT question (I don't think), but I have printed form that I would like to save to Microsoft word as a template, is that possible?
I've already scanned copies to my mac but I can't figure out how to take the JPEG and put it in word as a template.

Hmmm do you have Adobe Acrobat?, try scanning to PDF, export to word, then from word "save as" word template (dotx).

Nope, I have virtually nothing, Only had word because of a few college classes I took.
I was able to convert it to PDF via an online source, I'll see if I can find something to convert from PDF to dotx

Got everything figured out, now I scanned some documents to attach to my paperwork to submit but each attachment can't be over 3MB, and total file size has to be less than 30MB.
I have 16 attachments averaging 20MB, how can I compress them so I can send them but in a way that I know the receiver (ATF) can open them?

Scan them at a lower DPI and make and black and white the file sizes will be much smaller this way.

Pshaw. When using sticky notes, I write it down BACKWARDS. That way if I forget and leave it someplace no one will get it!
