Low Washer Fluid light won't go out

    The low washer fluid light on my 98 has been on since I bought the truck. The jug was empty. I filled it up and the washer works just fine but the light won't go out. Any ideas?

    Some stuff. Not a lot, just some.
    There should be a sensor in the fluid container. It may need the contacts cleaned.

    that happened on my aunt's car. low washer fluid light came on, i unplugged the sensor, wiped it off and used some of that keyboard duster stuff on it, and plugged it back in. light hasn't come on again for a couple years.

    Hey, cool. I just happen to have a brand new can of that stuff. I bought it to clean the pilot light in my gas fireplace. I'll give that a try. Thanks.

    You could always unplug it for good, that is under the asumption it closes the circut to turn the light on.
