Appraiser is finally coming out Monday...

 

3 weeks later...

 

Who do you insure with? USAA was at the tow yard or shop within hours to give me appraisals. Maybe I just got lucky.

 

Hi guys. 2 more hours and im free for 3 whole days of shenanigans!

 

You work retail. You're not allowed to have weekends off!

 

So my girlfriend is ready to get rid of her truck and she wants to downsize to a jeep.

Should I start researching jeeps to help her make an educated decision or should I just leave her? I mean a JEEP. Really?? lol

 

She's a woman and no matter what you do, its gonna be your fault. I'd crack a cold one, sit back, and watch.

 

My gf is planning on getting a jeep and i fully support the idea

 

Time to find a new GF?

 

I'm thinking I'll go with it. Now that she's giving up the cargo area of a full size pick up I'll have to build an expo trailer! Not enough room for all our camping/hunting gear in just my truck alone.

 

Is @JohnNP in AZ already?

If they deem my truck totalled, how do I make sure I get the most of my money? I found a truck pretty much identical to mine for a bit over KBB. I don't know exactly how they determine value, but I need to make sure I can get a truck just like mine(if I wanted) but the cost of them are higher. I swear Toyota's have increased in price since I bought my truck in 2014.

If they deem my truck repairable, I get to choose my own body shop, correct?

I'm going to talk to my attorney about all this as well, but figured I'd get some insight from some of you guys first.

Geico huh, that's to bad. They are right up there with progressive for shit service. Good luck on getting what you feel is the "value". And yes, you can choose any body shop you want, if they tell you that you can only go to certain shops. Ask for that in Writing and their tune will change. You could of forced this to happen sooner if you felt that it was talking to long, remember they work for you not the other way around. Should of requested a rental that always speeds up the process as they do not like paying for those.
