    How many of you guys wired the inline fuse and didn't? I can't find a small inline fuse all I got is 5amp thick wire... Thanks

    The switch is actually protected by the dash fuse so really only a option.

    Just ordered mine! Had my truck 2 months and in the last 2 weeks it's started to snow. So annoying trying to find the 4WD switch at night!!:annoyed:

    Thank you for making this! Looks like a simple enough mod. Can't wait to install it

    Just got done installing the light for the 4 x 4 switch. The only problem I had is the wires were reversed for the 4 x 4 light board.I swapped them and it works perfectly! Thank you for this amazing product!:hattip:

    Allot, but never enough, if I could have gotten 1/3 of the 05-11 Tacoma's I would have retired!!
    The first year I went over 500 units and that was 2010.
    Kind of a hobby now, and it makes allot of guys happy, so I will probably order another 100 PCBS's, as these went pretty quick surprisingly.

    Going after the Hilux now.

    So my switch stopped working about a year ago, just the 4x4 lights, none of the other dash lights. Finally got around to taking it apart and checking all the connections and everything seems to be proper. any thoughts on what it could be or what I should look for?

    I would check to see if R7 has a cold solder joint. This is more than likely the issue. Just touch up the solder on R7 and you should be good.

    No worries Chris.
    If you take off the back of the switch, you will see the individual resistors on the board. Each resistor has a designator, R1, R2, R3 ect.... next to it that are silk screened numbers in white on the board there are a total of 7 resistors. R1-R6 are 680ohm resistors and they say 681 on them. R7 is also on the board it says 101 on the resistor 100 ohms. This resistor is a current limiting resistor that on some boards would get warm and cause a cold solder joint. A cold solder joint happens when the solder does not reach the proper melting temperature and cools before the temperature is reached. This causes a hair line crack in the solder joint that connects the resistor to the pad on the board, causing a poor connection and corrosion at that solder point. Simply by reheating the solder joint to 750-800 degrees Fahrenheit will reconstitute the solder joint and the connection will be fixed. So basically heat both sides of R7 with the tip of a soldering iron and the bad connection should be resolved.
    If this proves to be more of a challenge than you are willing to do, send it back to me and I will repair free of charge less the shipping fees in both directions.
