AISIN hub differences?

So, ordered some hubs used, the factory AISIN hubs.

I get them in, and they're different.

Are they the same?

Will they both work on my truck?

They both operate as they should (locking and unlocking)

 

So you ordered a pair and got two different ones?

One is prolly from a pre tacoma pickup and the other is prolly off a taco, just a guess here..

 

Not sure but one could be from the older Toyota pickup and one from a newer tacoma?

 

One of those looks like the one on my Tacoma. The other looks like it's from an older style pickup, Pre-Tacoma.

 

Spoke with a guy from ttora who runs a junk yard i guess, and he said he had hubs and other parts I could use.

Opened the box and had these. I'm assuming he had one hub on 2 different vehicles.

Counted the splines and they're the same.

Took them apart and the internals also match up.

The only difference is the selector color and the fact that one is fully enclosed and one isn't.

Was wondering what the differences we're between the the 2

 

I like the look of the one on the right, PreTacoma one. Looks solid! Are they interchangeable?

I have both style of hubs for my truck. They are the same, just different designs. Looks like the dial was off a pre-tacoma hub as those were painted red.
