I didnt. Dont see any reason the existing one will get torn up. Unless its bad there isnt a need for a new one.

Don't you have to remove the seal to put the bushing in??

If thats the case, there is no way you'll get the seal out without destroying it.

Nope. They didnt remove it in the ecgs video and said there isnt any reason to unless it is already damaged.

Ill just get to the hotel and drop off my work stuff then grab the bushing and torque wrench.
Interesting. Are the truck cvs supposed to be a pain to pull out? Ive never had issues on any other cvs/cars.

It has a C clip on the inside that keeps it in place, most say its a pain to get out. This method is supposed to make it easier and no damage to the seal

0800 sounds good to me. I might even drive a Toyota this time.

To all others, you are welcome to attend as well. Always room for another truck nut. Scroll back through the thread for location details.

@hmcclung, looks like I missed you by a half hour or so today. To bad you couldn't stay.

Before I washed the salt and crap off of the truck today.

That should pull the CV no problem. I used braided steel cable for mine, but it came out easy. Hardest part was getting the axle out of the hub, be careful with the axle nut if you have to hammer on it to get the shaft out. I jacked up the threads on mine doing that and had to buy a new nut, they are super soft compared to the axle. The rest of the bushing job is pretty easy.

I thought about even running 2 snatch blocks but common sense is telling me I shouldn't use a winch to pull my CV out  My wheel bearing is pretty clean so I'm hoping that it will slide right out
