Recommended Dealership in DMV Area

Anybody here recommend a trusted dealership? I don't trust some dealerships around my area, I'm currently at MD, but could travel to DC or VA if need be. I'm tired of getting voicemails and email from the dealerships that they have "what I want," to lure me in and sell me a different package...

Those who have bought their trucks around my area, what dealership did you go to? Please state your experience with them. Thank you!

 

Yea I feel the same way. I had a few dealers tell me that have what want only to find out it is not what I want

 

Go to Koons Toyota in Easton. It was a hike for me from Baltimore but Todd Hardeman will absolutely take care of you. I hate dealerships and this one changed my mind.

I purchased the 2016 Offroad double cab. I told him I wanted to pay $33,250 (including freight) and we settled at $33,500 plus taxes and tags. I'm sure you may be able to do better now because dealers are actually stocking the trucks but at the time it was either $33,500 there or the best I could get a local dealers (Jerrys,Jones and Bill Kidds) was 35k+ and mine is non-tech package.

This.... In Easton it is actually Marcus, the sales manager, that will do the truck ordering if you need to order your truck. I have a very rare truck in order from here and he was the only sales manager that seemed to want to make it happen. I visited many dealerships in the area and got the run around as soon as they all realized it would be a special built truck and not a truck that they could find.

 

I bought from Koons in Tysons, but that was because they were the first ones to get a DCSB TRD Off road with 6 speed. I was in between the 09 and 10 models, so no dealerships wanted to help me other than to try to sell what was on their lot.

 

My buddy works at Miller Toyota in Manassas, VA, his name is Greg Tardif he took care of me when I got my loaded TRD O/R. When they had one on order he even got the factory to change the color of it to BBP before it got painted.

 

I purchased mine at Koons Tysons Toyota and would not recommend them (PM me if you want details). However I have heard nothing but good things for the other Koons Toyota dealers in the area especially Easton and Arlington. I purchased my 2014 4Runner from Bill Paige Toyota in Falls Church and that was a great experience.

 

I got my 2014 DCSB Sport from Koons in Annapolis. They were amazing. They worked the deal until I was happy, never got grumpy, and ordered a pizza for my family when they were ready to eat. The only time I was even slightly annoyed was when I went to finance, at which point I asked them to get the sales manager in the room, and he pulled the finance guy out, sat down at his computer, and made it happen. My truck was on the lot, but my sister actually ended up getting a DCLB Sport from them and they worked hard to get her the color and options she needed!

Koons in Easton MD was decent

 

I bought from Koons Tysons. Jonathan F. was great sales associate, didn't push anything, cut to the chase with a good deal. I, like most on this forum, know far more about the trucks/cars that dealers are selling us than they do (which is seriously sad IMO). Got mine there for ~$1700 under mrsp, and even added the P/T package after original order. Gave me a free bed mat due to the factory/shipping delays everyone was experiencing. They are also buying back my stock tires from me for $500 (I bought KO2s that are going on tomorrow).
I have talked to other sales people AT Koons that I didn't want to deal with. Jon has been great, and I highly recommend seeking him out.

 

I bought mine January 29th at St. Charles Toyota just west of downtown Chicago. I drove up from Knoxville, Tennessee in a day and drove halfway back before getting a motel for the night. Long ways to go but I saved a little over $2000 off M.S.R.P.

There were no trucks like I wanted in the southeast region. Blazing Blue SR5, 4WD, Appearance with Navigation and Tow Package.

 

I got mine from Darcars of Silver Spring. Pretty decent process and people considering how much I hate being in a dealership and the process of buying a vehicle.

 

Also, if you are looking for a specific truck, i.e. color, packages, configuration, check out www.cars.com .......You can enter specifically what you are looking for and get the results and locations.

Also, Lori Brady at Jim Barkley Toyota in Asheville, NC. is a straight shooter, she just didn't have exactly what I was looking for, but a great price nevertheless!

ok.. guys. Thanks for all your input. My quest to find the lowest in the market has officially began. I've made a list of all the dealerships to go to and try to price match or beat what other dealer had offered me. Below is what I was quoted from Passport Toyota at Marlow Heights, MD. (near Andrews Air Force Base). This was first on my list since it was on the way, but I'll be posting up more prices soon from others.
