Toyota has always made PITA clips tho. Working on my 92 4runner when I had we always were braking clips :frusty:

Nothing too exciting today but I fixed my bed lights with the new switch that matt sent me, I used an excess of heat shrink and silicone around the switch this time. While I was waiting for the silicone to dry up I decided to clean out the bed, it was looking pretty rugged for a while, even fixed the stupid wire that always droops down.

Finished my taxes last night finally, after they get approved gears will be ordered! Oh and while cleaning up a bunch of old mail I found a reimbursement check for $345 from my insurance company, Score!

Yeah I have a prinsu rack on the cap, I drilled the holes wrong so thats why I have different hardware on each side (supposed to drill every other not every for the tracks)

Ive never seen the different between one that is reinforced and one that isn't so I couldn't say. I put the tracks where the cap has extra fiberglass in the middle so hopefully thats the strongest area. I haven't thrown the tent up yet but I have an idea to check if the cap sags any with weight up top

Thanks! Its not bad, about 33k miles on the stock gears/35s. Besides the low mpg and zero ability to use your cruise (without thought) I don't notice much of a difference. Ill be geared soon so hopefully I gain back cruise and some mpg

Got everything ready for tomorrows get together, replacing the diff bushing. I had originally planned on buying the SE overland CV removal tool, but by the time I realized that I haven't ordered it yet it was too late. So I figured I could use some rope that I had and make two slip knots to replicate what they did, Its not made out of winch line but it should do.

I did for a while, my flares rubbed the paint pretty good in some spots so it looks pretty ugly up close

To remove my CV's, I just used my pry bar and they just pop right out. No special tools needed.

Depends.... around town 12-15, 55-60 freeway I can manage 17-19, but the highway 70+ I don't see anything better than 12. Those are all corrected speed/mpg numbers, My driving is mostly short trips and highway so I usually see the gas light around 170-200miles (actual odo reading, uncorrected)

Picture from the other night, this way a 25mi drive back home, so its a decent gauge of what I can get in ideal conditions. I tried keeping it at 60mph, this way going up a slight hill hence the 16mpg reading. Scanguage is corrected for speed/mpg

I mean the 2300mi drive to WA I was only .4mpg over 10 so yeah, I agree

That's not bad, that makes me feel more secure about getting 35s in the future
