If you have that camper, you most certainly need a new truck. The dry weight alone is pushing the limits. That's not to include the passengers, liquids, stuff, etc.

We never carry liquids and always pack light for short trips. Nothing major no deep camping, campgrounds only for my wife. Our other camper weighed 5900 dry this one is 4000 dry. I towed the it a few times with Tacoma.

I just returned from a 2k mile round trip drive to Wisconsin to pick this up....

Only 2,200 lbs and the truck towed it like a dream through the Penn. mountains.

It also shows under the specs that it is 5495 gross weight which I would be very concerned with. Packing light needs to take into account the weight of all people and the weight of the propane and battery. Good luck.

Yeah it won't come close to the limit with everything. I'm not loading down for two weeks mostly just weekend stuff. I also always do a max load out and get a weight ticket on the scales. Just to be sure of how much it can handle.

IMHO that's really pushing it. Yeah I know they say 6500 but not with me driving it. If that thing gets sideways you are going for a ride like it or not.

We started off camping a long time ago in a tent, then my job took us to the southeast and an AC became necessary for the family. So we did a pop up for a few years and then moved up to the RPOD. It's all about your wants and needs.

I had a Viking exactly like that! At the time I had a 97 with the 2.7 and I know even the little popup was behind me. I pull a 18' with the 11 it's right about 3000# loaded that is about the right weight for a comfortable ride and with two axles it's rock steady.

Yeah ours was a 99, it was a good camper. My lady felt bad for me with the setup and break down and more importantly sleeping situation, to tall lol. So we got the RPod which all loaded up for is about 2600 lbs

Best thing I can say is Google, you'll see a lot. There are a few different layouts. Ours is the 177 model, which has the permanent rv queen bed in back, shower, toilet, slide out the has the sink, microwave and fridge, and then you enter through the door and on the right has a table that breaks down into a bed if need be. We've done a lot of upgrades. I'll see if I can find some pics. We're mostly outside when we camp, don't need to glamp and bring the house lol. The pic above was from our shakedown quick trip after buying it.

We started with an r-pod about 8 years ago. It was a nice unit. I didn't want to get rid of it but it got cramped with three.
