Been over to XRU ... heard what can be done..

Decided I am going to go for an engine swap... But.. maybe you guys can have a bit of fun with this. Help me pick out what engine >. What's the biggest, most badass engine we can fit in our trucks, without screwing with the cab/exterior? Hell to the no on staying N/A as well.

Any block we can find for 10 grand or under lol? I would like to be able to get the swap done for 30-40 grand total... so there's my limit for now.

If you are serious, take a flamethrower to your prerunner, and spend the 40 grand on a 1999 (forged pistons) viper GTS and put a 200 shot of nitrous on it.

Putting a Chevy (GM) engine into a Toyota truck is now Illegal (at least for street use) why doesn't someone put a SC 5.7L out of a tundra into a tacoma that would be awesome.

If you have the cash and seriously want to keep it Toyota. Screw putting a V8 in there. The ONLY way to go if you can get it to fit is 2JZ-GTE.

Yep, parents gave me money to invest. I owe everything to them. I'm going to school right now full time, so my responsibilities are in check.

Now, about that LSX? And if I got called out in my other thread and never came into it, it's because of school, and that I have been over at XRU. I have been over at XRU for quite a while now.

As for a trophy truck... isnt this exactly what I am building? I have an obsession with building a beast "tacoma".

And why is it illegal to swap out a GM engine in my toyota chassis/frame? I can't keep the same drivetrain/anything. Nothing would be able to handle it. It wont be a toyota truck anymore, just the outside.

 

Not knocking the LSX idea but a twin turbo 2JZ really would be bad ass. If I had the money for a swap that'd be it. but either way good luck with it and post pics of the progress.
