OK, so ever since the summer this lazy dude my wife works with was taking a ton of time off for “medical problems”. Also, he was kinda a dumbass. He would come into work, complain that he felt nauseous, then leave, claiming he was throwing up. Diagnosis was nervous stomach, fail. Of course he burns through his sick time and so he gets a note saying he has “mental health problems”. So of course he gets put on a cocktail of pills. Repeats his normal routine. So, of course, they can't fire him because of the some BS laws. Anyway, he takes a leave of absence for like a month, maybe longer, don't remember. When he comes back, he repeats his normal routine of trying to leave 2 hours after he comes in. Well boss tells him that he better go to the doctor and has to show a note from them the next day or he's getting suspended. [Now, this guy's a complete dumbass so they assume someone is helping him manipulate the system, and they find out his sister is a lawyer and put 2 and 2 together. i.e. she's telling him what to do and what to say.] Well he supposedly finds a doctor to do this for about a week and then shows up 1 day without a note. He gets put on 1 week suspension. 1st day back, does the same shit again. 2nd day he shows up with no note and they fire his ass. This was about a month-month and half ago.
Fast forward to today. Dude shows up at the drive through at the bank and sends them a note saying I have ppl in the front and back of the bank, you have 1 minute to empty the register or bad things will happen. Well the bank ppl lock the doors and call the cops. Cops show up blocking him in and dude puts his car in reverse and rams the car behind him repeatedly. They tell him repeatedly to stop and get out of the car. Now because of his note, they don't if he's armed or has a bomb or what. So they put a couple rounds through his car and mortally wound him. Attempts at CPR fail.
Turns out dude had a warrant out for his arrest for some other stuff, including possesion and distribution of Pot, and manufacturing a controlled substance.
