I like bronze on white trucks and almost went that route but it has to be a light color bronze like so (this is my opinion though :p ):

I also like the mix of the gunmetal, white and black which is why that's what's on my rig :)

    Cuts look nice man!

Hmm im not entirely opposed, was just thinking too much would be overwhelming a little.
I know if i was getting new wheels theyd be the bronze F5s which are a tad darker. This is the bronze i was thinking to use in particular (duplicolor wheel bronze). Found a post with some actually done up too.

Thanks, i still need to get flares trimmed front and rear. Spray underneath the front with rubberized undercoating and cycle the front with tires/no shock. But i think its gonna be pretty close...i hope. Lol

The ECGS front clamshell bushing is installed now. Thanks again to @Palehorse1 and @ChandlerDOOM. Definitely took some shimmy out of the steering i was having.

Ran into some complications trying to put the axle nut back on, somehow the threads on the shaft got boogered. But with some filing and brute strength we were able to get the nut threaded back on. It did booger up the rest of the threads but they are still good to use. Aka not crossthreaded, i think it just needs the nut ran over them a few times to clean it up the rest but im not going to mess with it till next time i have to.

    Stock gearing/tire information
    65mph speedo is ~ 1900rpm
    70mph speedo is ~ 2100rpm

Edit: im thinking the threads may have gotten messed up when we hit the shaft back into the differential and not when we put it in the hub.

4.88s are about a 300rpm increase from the stock rpm. I dont think thats too high personally.

Used a gear calculator, these numbers are probably slightly off due to actual tire size when on the truck

    3.73: 31/2153rpm 32/2086 33/2022 35/1907
    4.56: 33/2472 35/2331 37/2205
    4.88: 33/2646 35/2495 37/2360

Those are true tire sizes so actual rpm numbers will vary with actual tire size. Speed is 70mph

So the closest ratio to stock with 35s is actually a 4.30 at 2198. So by those numbers 456 is the best bet for keeping close to stock gearing, 75mph will actual tire size (34-34.5 on truck) will put my rpm just over 2500 and should be enough to get the cruise going. 488 at 75 is 2673 at a true 35 (which your tire will not measure out to when mounted)

In 4th gear on stock gears is about a 164rpm difference compared to 488s in 5th at 70mph, at the rate why would I even re gear when I could continue driving on the highway in 4th for no additional cost

True. Driving in 4th all the time would suck though.youre probably right though, 4.56 is a better gearing for the typical driving and 4.88s are really only beneficial for the slower crawl. Ill have to keep thinking it over, wont be for a good while though.

I know youll have them done before i will.

Once the wind picks up you have no choice but to drive in 4th, or drive 85 to 5th gear can hold itself. Usually I just pick up the pace, mpg is out the window anyways.

If I could actually wheel on a weekly basis, fuck yeah might as well if I am getting the use out of it. But same argument to getting a front locker, Ill only use it once in a blue moon until I move to a better place I dont need it

Hopefully soon ill be good to go for gears, ill probably have to get the better cv removal noose if Im taking both out hah and keep a die on hand

There has to be a better way to seat the halfshaft back in the axle. I just dont know how with that c clip being as big of a pain in the ass as it was. I really think thats where we somehow smushed the threads, but ive never seen that happen before.

Of course, what good would a 5th wheel be otherwise? Haha

It definitely is on the list. Just cant decide if i want to cough up the dough or attempt to build one (aka cut the pieces and get it all welded up). For now itll just sit in my garage till i need it. next trip though ill have to figure something out when i cant put it in the bed.

You could always get a tray or basket to sit under your tent. Unless you usually put some big stuff in your bed on trips

I usually use 20 gallon totes to throw stuff in. But without having to pack a tent anymore and being able throw blankets in the rtt, that should be up space. The main issue with the tire is that it wont be able to stand up and take less layout space.
