That's pretty cool it's even lower than a lot of that style camper I have seen.

How do you like your pop up camper? I've read mixed reviews on these types of campers. Some people hate them because you have to bring them home, open them up and let them dry out, etc. Some people love them. Would like to see what kind of opinions TW members have to say.

I like the option of having a pop up as well because they tend to weigh a little less and would be easier for the Taco to pull.

That is awesome! I think I just fell in love haha. Just went out to their website and found that these are built in Ocala, FL. That's only a couple hours away from me. I believe that I just found my first camper!

They are good quality and nice people. Plus I think mine was 3k with the options I added. They are also classified as a utility trailer which means no tag needed.

It really has to do with what YOU are willing to deal with. YES, a pop-up can be tedious IF you let it. if you allow it to be part of the experience, it's all good. Some pop-ups are more involved than others.

Ready to camp it scales out about 3500b with full LP, water heater and toilet tanks full (6 gal each), never travel with water in main holding tank. it will be over weight on axle and tires. 2012 Flagstaff Classic 625D
    IMG_3631.jpg
opened up its about 25ft long and 10.5ft wide ( slide out on far side )
    IMG_4157.jpg
got caught in a snow squall a few weeks ago, almost got exciting
    IMG_4160.jpg
as far as weight is concerned, you need to know actual weight of loaded unit, how much TIRE capacity is available and where you are on that ( my camper was over weight NEW on the original tires it came with without loading any camping stuff ) your weights are going to be close to capacity of camper all the time.

another thing is tongue weight, my camper is capable of using a weight distribution hitch, but I will not use one as it will overload the camper axle and tires, I have air bags to get the rear up and level with the weak ass Taco springs.

How bout this, 550 lbs dry weight, 3 axis off road hitch, full size bed, AC/AM/FM/CD/DVD Player with 19" flatscreen, along with a 10 x 10 tent with screen sides provides all the room needed and can go anywhere

Those MyPods (and Little Guy teardrops) are nice, but have become so expensive!

$7K for just the MyPod Basic!!

That Runaway is looking better all the time.

found it used locally (very lucky), still more than the runaway, but 300+ pounds less, fiberglass shell and aluminum frame, alloy wheels. Was worth it for me. Planning an epic western trip this summer to break it in!!

That's cool. I like the scamps but they are pricey.
