How did you remove this small black box?

Installed but not wired. It took me longer than expected to move my blue sea fuse box. It was right were we mounted the compressors. I'll wire sometime this week...hopefully

My next project is going to be DIY under-hood lighting. Electrical stuff is not my specialty. I found this link that helped me understand how to choose wire and fuse sizes. I'm leaving it here so I can find it later.

How's the road noise after removing the storage bins behind the rear seat?

 No difference at all. All I hear is tires. You might notice a difference if you were running nice quiet road tires, but obviously you won't have to worry about that.

Yes, to turn the compressor on I push the bottom of the switch down. To turn it off I push the top if the switch. If you don't like it this way I'm sure you can flip the switch over and reinstall the switch face.

Yea...I just figured it out and tried to delete the post. I couldn't get the face back off, but I was scared I was going to break it. I just yanked and it came off.

    Install complete!

Hmm. Now you've got me wondering if I want to flip mine over. Probably not because I don't want to tear the dash apart again. Ha ha. Enjoy your compressor man!

The only reason I switched it is because I have 3 others that are going beside it. My OCD would have killed me if one was in the wrong direction!

I flipped my switch back. The wrong lights were lighting up. I guess I have all my others are wrong. Ha

My rational half says it's fine. Don't worry about it as long as the switch works. My OCD half says KILL IT WITH FIRE!!!! Switches. Must. Face. Same. Direction. Ha ha.

I finished up gathering supplies for my budget under hood lighting project. I'll be in it $30 for the LEDs and $6 for a pack of fuses and the fuse holder. The hood pin switch was given to me free of charge by a kind fellow who installs car audio and alarms. I have plenty of wire and connectors laying around. Now if the weather will warm up enough for the 3M tape to adhere, I'll get it installed. Looking forward to this one.
