Can't reason with anyone who says "nanny state" or "libtard". It's not worth it

I don't live in cali so im good but did 2 combat tours in Afghanistan and now im a law enforcement officer I do at times still feel the reprocutions of my time served but nothing so severe that I can not handle firearms just as well or better than someone that has not walked in my boots yes I understand what the gov is trying to do do I 100% agree no but the law is the law and it is what it is no need to fight because it IS A LOOSING BATTLE for the little people.

Unleas they were convicted of a crime or clinically diagnosed with a known disease/disorder that is related to violence, they shouldn't have been banned from owning guns in the first place.

Funny, last I checked my history books taught me the Constitution was put in place to protect us from the tyranny of the masses.

Not my fault they, or you don't know the laws. Just because something isn't spoon fed to a person doesn't mean it absolves them of any personal responsibility to understand what they can and cannot own after being released from an institution.

    If you're a felon - can't own a firearm.

If you're crazy or have a history of being crazy - can't own a firearm.

So not sure what you're getting at. Both have to do with being assessed a condition, either a criminal conviction or a medical assessment or a combination of both.

Pretty common sense law for rational minded people.

Why would someone banned from owning firearms need to have ammunition?

Pause the butt hurt and explain why this is such a fucking issue?

If the felon is out of prison then we as a society are saying he /she has been rehabilitated and has served his/her debt to society. If that's the case then why shouldn't they own guns? If they're too dangerous to own a gun then keep their ass in prison.

That's very selfish of you to ban a class of people from exercising a right so you don't look bad. Typical Californian.

Felons serve time and then are saints, huh?

Not wasting time with you. If you think that's how real life works, you should start your own thread of idiocy.

Some states have the law setup so if any family member/spouse/former spouse can report you as unstable and you can lose your rights to own/posess a firearm with no other proof or anything.

What that means is if you and your wife get divorced, she gets pissed and wants to fuck you over she can report you and have your rights taken away.

In some (Maybe all, can't remember) states felons can appeal to get their 2A rights back, it's up to the judges who review their files.

They're held until you're shown to be either safe to possess them or deemed unsuitable to do so.

    They're not taken absolutely.

Why would someone who's not a member of the media need free speech? Why would someone banned from voting need representation? Why would someone who doesn't have anything to hide need a reasonable right to privacy?

It's not about "need." Taking something from someone is called an "infringement" and is explicitly banned by the 2nd. It doesn't say "you can infringe a little" or "shall not be infringed....unless CA pussies feel scared."

Nah, fuck that. You revoked a lot of your rights when you chose to do commit a felony. You did your time and were released, good for you but you still can't own a gun. Kinda like sex offenders. Unless you're found innocent or the court restores your rights your ass is a registered sex offender and you have to tell everyone you live around. Ain't no taking that back bud and I support that.
