I have serious doubts that a 30 to 40 degree temp swing will affect fuel economy on most vehicles (including the 2016 Tacoma) as significantly as we're seeing in the numbers reported here.

Okay, I have about 1400 on my 2016 DCOR now, the first 3 tanks were getting no better than 15mpg with mostly rural driving. My mpg on my last tank for the same driving, temps within a few degrees on the tank before, same driving style and it was 18.6mpg. All figures with pen & paper, not going by the dash 'puter. I know there's folks out there saying your mileage off the lot is probably what you're gonna be getting. But there's also a lot saying their mileage starts climbing up with the miles logged, I'm one of them. Glad to see it improving and will keep y'all posted if this was just a fluke.

This was mainly freeway driving with some stop and go traffic. I have a DCLB OR with snugtop, about 100 lb's of luggage and 2 other passengers and ECT on. I think mpg's are better with ECT on too..

Typically I get 18-19 but I filled up this morning and paid close attention to my driving on the way to work. I will probably never see this again so I had to take a pic.

Just filled up today 23.98 mpg. Every tank with real gas (5 tanks) has been 24 mpg. 10% ethanol has been 21 to 23 mpg. Ethanol sucks! I have the 4 cyl 4wd manual trans. 245 75r16 tires. 10% hit with ethanol. It would be better better if the farmer poured it on the ground and gave me .9 gal of gasoline. Then I wouldn't have that crap in my truck. What a waste!

A bit over 2K miles. First few tanks were averaging 19-22 mpg based on driving conditions. I bought an air dam and switched to ethanol free gas, 87 or 89 octane (doesn't seem to make a difference) and have been consistently getting 24-25mpg on the computer. Haven't hand calculated.

I changed both variables at the same time (air dam and fuel type --- in addition to being around the reported "break in" period). Pretty sure they're all contributing but I'm happy with the mpgs. Not too different from the wife's odyssey.

Took a 500 mile trip this weekend and only got 16.4 mpg. There were some small hills and seemed like the truck was constantly shifting to keep its speed.

Turn off the cruise control before a hill and it won't down shift as much

My mpg is dropping due to the nice weather we are getting. We went wheeling on Saturday and Sunday!

I took my first road trip today without a trailer and felt inclined to share. Mostly under 65 in cruise. I was impressed. Have 3167 miles right now.
