Yep illegal, as is altering height more than 2" than it comes out of factory by any means, lift or tire or combination of both. As a police sergeant and patrol supervisor my experience is for trivial modification such as these. Unless your a real jerk or you cause an accident myself and my officers have bigger fish to catch. But some lonely blue sitting out in the middle of nowhere at 2 in the morning might just want to use those mods as a pretext to pull you over and snoop around your truck to see what else you got going on.

    Retired/Hobbyist old as f***
I remember way back in the old 80's days police would get us for overheight bumpers on lifted trucks. They carried tape measures in patrol cars. I wonder if that old law still applies.

Well done, I did the same. Taco owners tend to go places where you get your feet dirty. All weather mats are the way to go.

I did something very similar, pro comp nitro 3/1 lift/leveling kit and 275/65/18 KO2s. 3 shops have checked it and said everything is normal. I hear a hmmmm.......hmmmm.......hmmmm only at 40mph. Goes away at lower OR faster speeds. How does your Tacoma ride?

BFG ko2 seems to be a popular tire. Anyone have experience with Toyo Tire open country at 2? I'm undecided atm

    60+ mods and counting (mod-aholic)
I removed and disassembled the grill. It took about 1/2 can of blue and about 2.5 cans of black. I had to do the bezel twice so maybe 2 cans for the grill and bezel if you can do it right the first time (unlike me).

What's with all the 'blocks'? Am I missing something? This is just for looks right? It would suck off-road (or for highway cruising for that matter).

Your truck is a beast! Love the rimms and the look! Perfect. I want the same rims! Found them on eBay for 900, does that sound right to you?

I am about 2-3 times per month. The tires weren't a necessity but I like the look :)

Yeah I think they are worth it, the only down fall are the attachment points are molded and look a little funny, but I like the overall look of them. Easy install and they come off easy too
