I masturbate plenty, thank you very much. I don't see how that pertains to the situation.

Looks like your truck has fucked up bushing because it should have a metal sleeve in it. Which a fully threaded bolt won't affect it. Idk dude

    Your shit is facked up

There is a metal sleeve that runs through the bushing on the main eye bolt and also on the rear spring hanger that attaches to the shackle. The shackle hanger bolt itself does not have a metal sleeve, the bolt directly contacts the bushing. Believe me man, I've thought about every variable here and I'm not willing to take a gamble on pivot surfaces nor on pressure fit surfaces... I may wheel like a dumbass but I don't condone slapdash bullshittery when it comes to turning wrenches.

Yes, I went to the dealer and the lead time on getting OEM shackles was the same as the shipping estimate for getting aftermarket greaseable shackles... not to mention that they were the same price. Fuck that shit.

Side note, new rear bumpstops from the stealership.... $120

..yes, that's even more expensive than shackles would be from the dealer. Thank you Roman for being kind enough to send me yours. I only wish that you had not sent them express. If I had known at the time that I would have to wait on aftermarket shackles to ship then I would have told you not to bother with anything but the most basic of shipping. I guess I owe you a hard cock or a bunch of contraband, whatever it is you 19 y/o folk enjoy imbiding these days.

    BUT WAIT THERE'S MORE!
Dealer doesn't stock stuff for us old first gens, not to mention they would be three times the cost of his greasy shackle kit and take just as long to get it to him.
I actually bought new rear shackles that were Dorman brand like you would get from autozone, but I got them somewhere online... I had some of the same issues as he is having now when I did my rear leaf packs.

side note. Finally finished rear wheel bearings, seals, changed rear diff fluid, even though it was still pretty clean... also replaced shoes and drums... Sumbitch' rides quiet now but I still have to work this weekend so no RRG for me as much as I would like to come. Couldn't believe how much play was in those bearings on the axle, looked to be very much original, not bad for 257k miles. Hopefully this next set lasts just as long.

    :thumbsup:I hope the same brother.

@Tretiak30 Just checked my emails and Wheeler's sent my shackles 2-day Priority. On the off chance that they arrive Wednesday... I'd be able to ride up to Cleveland Thursday. If they don't show up until Thursday I could ride up Friday. Is there any chance you could put my stank-ass in the computer for either of those days?

I had a girl try that on me once.. it was the first time that I'd been choked.

To be perfectly honest, it was disappointing. I was taken aback at first, yet as soon as I realized what twas happening, I become quite obsessed with the fact that she wasn't choking me harder...

Go all the way or don't... dare not tease me with such a thing that shalt not be adjourned!
My shit is done.. and my sweet ass just be waitin on some shackles!..
