Haha still cracks me up how quickly they put a loaded .22 in a 10 yr olds hands at Boy Scout camp circa 1992. I have to imagine its not that easy anymore...

I did plenty of shooting at boy scout camp as a kid. usually bolt action marlins. Teaches good grouping practice to take breaths and focus on the shot. I just wish they had MP15-22's instead :)

Thanks! The Choke is a Troy and its welded on so I couldn't change it if I wanted to, ACS is badass I feel like it's the most under rated stock, MBUS with the ARF3 mount Burris fast fire II I really dig the setup, I prefer the Burris over my Trijicon RMR, had it on there before and swapped it to a Glock.

If anyone wants to make a lower hit me up. We have all the stuff sitting in the garage. Need to drag back the drill press from the shop tho. Not too big of a deal

Range day on me next time. I think the best one around you might be Chabot or San Leandro Rod and Gun.

My roommate does. I'll inquire about the jig and drill press.

Next time the Gun show is in Vallejo I was planning on picking up a jig and a few lowers, there was a guy there last time I was there that was selling a jig for $125 IIRC

Can you use just any drill press? I have one, but I thought you needed a mill or CNC

Any drill press with an adjustable table will work. You need a mill. An eletric hand mill is all you need. And proper bits of course.
I can recommend the 80% arms easy jig and their jig kit.

I almost pulled the trigger on one of these a few months ago:
    http://www.80percentarms.com/products/80-ar-15-jig

The Tactical Machining one I've heard is pretty good too.

Both are under $100 shipped. Trying to build an MK12 SPR clone

All this gun talk is making me wish I had one earlier today. This person apparently fell asleep/too distracted texting at a stop sign/whatever just decided to stay there so I tapped the horn. This got their attention, and more. Started moving a few seconds later and just proceeds to roll down a 1 lane road at 15. Shortly after pulls over then gets right behind me and starts following me home. So I keep moving then just come to a stop and stare the person down in the mirror. Person turns around and drives off. Course, all this with my mom in the passenger seat.

Shit Chris- you were born after the Tacoma was first sold. Good for you man! I was way too irresponsible (and broke) at 19 to own a Tacoma. Plus, they didn't exist yet.
I had a 1965 Scout 80 at that age. Top was off 6 months/ year. Top on and hot-boxed the other 6...

Rear plate bumper won't make your truck bullet proof, but you could easily incapacitate another vehicle if shit hit the fan- demolition derby style. Plus, my trigger lock key is on the same ring as the ignition key. Then there's the fumbling...press the button.. turn the key while pressing in... Demolition derby is so much easier.
