I've had my 2011 for a couple months now and continue to hear a beep every 10-15 times I drive it. I have heard it when slowing down to make a turn, when accelerating and when cruising at 65 on the interstate. It is a half second or so, single beep. It seems to come from the passenger floor area. Anybody heard this phantom beep in their truck?

I'd be interested to know what it is also. I heard a strange beep noise like you described once while offroading and figured it was the cell phone I had borrowed that day (don't own one.) I had it plugged into the outlet to charge. Do they usually make a single beep noise when fully charged? If it wasn't the phone I don't know what the hell it was...came from the general location like you mentioned.

I've had mine for about a week now and have only noticed a slight beep when listening to XM radio. It'll beep every now and then and isn't consistent. When I switched from XM to my iPod the beeping went away.

I don't mean to hijack the thread...just curious about the noise too.
The OP stated he heard a single beep. I'd decribe what I heard as more of "tone" sound that lasted a couple seconds.

It's probably your traction control. Heard it the other day sliding around a turn on a gravel road

Glad to hear there are some more beepers out there besides just me. It is just a single beep. I have heard the multiple trac control beep and it is not that. It does sound similar to the beep when shifting into reverse, but obviously I am not slamming the truck into reverse while driving.

I have heard the beep only when truck is on and moving, thought I have heard it during all types of driving. It seems to be coming from the floor area by passenger seat.

    Weird!

So you think it may be a bad reverse sensor...wouldn't the backup camera come on when the beep happens?

Since your truck is still under warrenty what's the dealer think it is? The sound I heard was definetly not the traction control beeping...sounded kinda like the single tone an elevator makes when it arrives at each floor.

I have not even considered taking it to the dealer, because there is no way I could reproduce it, and it doesn't seem serious to me.

Maybe not, but they might have experience with it from other sources including bulletins. It could be a warning signal of sorts that might eventually need attention. Remember, dealers get paid by the manufacturer to do warrenty work....it's a money maker for them and costs you nothing at the time. Not picking on OP but it's peculiar how many owners self diagnose problems with cars still under warranty.
