no not yet, I was gonna do it the other day, but i had to step away from the project to cool down from the issues I was having. Now that I have all of it solved, it just depends how long it will take to wrap all the wires with electrical tape and route the wires better, then Ill look at taking the header off

I would just wrap the wires exposed to the elements, zip tie the bundles in the cab, less headache down the road if you need to make a change or add something.

    Dead in here lately,

So I made a last minute run to Walmart before kickoff yesterday, get back in the truck and my battery was dead. I knew it was due to die soon, and kept putting it off. Ran back in the store bought a cheap battery and a 10mm, changed it and floored it home.

Today, my plan was to go find an AGM battery and return the Walmart POS. Ran over to Batteries+ on Eglin, where they had a Duracell AGM (Made by Deka USA)for 180ish. Get there, poles are on the wrong side. I notice what looks like a Northstar AGM, called "X2 Power". Come to find out it is actually a rebranded for Batteries+ Northstar. Their site says 280ish but I heard the guy tell me 230. It'll be here in a couple days, so I'll confirm the price then.

I remembered the groupbuy that just ended on Northstars, they got 50 off retail so 250. Same battery. I can't confirm it, but on another forum someone said that Northstar was founded by a few of Odyssey's original engineers, but the Northstar has thicker straps that connect the cells or something.

    Just a heads up.

Broncos, but was hoping for a little closer of a game. Cam wasn't smiling last night lol. I wasn't impressed with anything, the game, commercials, or the half time show. Just meh.

if we do anything, it'll have to be after mid march. Depending how much I can get done on the 80 in this next month, there's a meet up at Gulches in SC that I would like to take that thing there and test her out. But Ill have to play it by ear until mid march though

I work for the US Fish & Wildlife Service (Like FWC but federal not state)
Its my 4th federal agency and I'm only 30.
I like the job quite a bit. I fly around in a helicopter all day (I'm NOT the pilot)

Hiring? Haha, my job recommendation test in high school told me Forestry service. Hmm, a Forestry service aircraft mechanic, now we're talking.

My uncle was a FWC officer, and I always thought it would be an interesting career. How did you come about getting the job?

That's a real thing, especially if you're talking fixed wing.

When I was in college at Wyoming I started fighting fires in the summer for the US Forest Service.
When I graduated I left the hotshot crew I was on and joined a different one with the BLM. After that I went to the National Park Service in Tennessee and then got this captain position I'm in now 5 years ago.

Fixed wing, I have zero helo experience, besides going for a ride in an SH-60. One of the only times volunteering actually got me out of work. Got to play a hostage in a fake embassy out in Fallon, NV. Seal team came in cleared the place, grouped us up, extracted us in helos.

So yeah, zero helo experience. lol
