Ton-o-tailgates for sale ($350)

Just spotted this on Craigslist figured someone on here might be interested.

This guy is selling the tailgates from his 2016 Tacoma fleet at a pretty good price. Backup camera included.

I'm pretty sure over time more and more of us would want these. If I had a place to store them I would buy them all and sell them to members on here in the coming years.

 

Seems sketchy to me. He is starting a company and is buying 50-75 new Tacoma's?! Even at the base price, that'd be $1.16 million in just trucks!

 

true, but he has pics of the tailgates sitting on pallets. Its worth investigating I think.

 

Hm...maybe it's legit I guess if he were stealing them, he'd have them in all colors, not just white.

 

Would they fit a second gen?

Seems fishy. It would be one thing to replace a fleet of an already well established company but that fleet is massive for a start up. Plus 50-75 is a large deviation. Someone who just got done buying an entire fleet would know exactly how many trucks there were. I bet these are from an already established company and the company that was hired to make the customization's was told they can keep the old tailgate by the pest control company and they're trying to make a little extra cash on the side.

 

Yeah. I don't know anyone that would start a company and be so confident in it that they buy 50-75 new Tacomas! Maybe start with 2 lol...also, maybe since it's a new company, but used Tacomas lol

 

I'm not too concerned, In L.A. there are startups like this all the time. Most of them go bankrupt within a year, only a few ever make it.

Nothing fishy. All tacoma's are from Longo Toyota in El Monte, CA and purchased through a reputable fleet manager. Need anything else to verify? lol.

 

BTW, they sell fast, as @tacitos mentioned, a bunch of people just buy em up right now for my cost for the inevitable insurance claims to come... lol. Sold over 30 so far, only 4 left for this month.

 

ok guys, anyone on the east coast need super white tailgate, 3rd gen??
