I'm also very interested to see if a new TRD wheel will be released. With a new generation of truck, it's time for a new TRD wheel.

My guess is the grill is going to be just like the one found on the 4runner..they look exact from the teaser image, but different shape.

Also thinking the wheels/tires will be similar to the 4runner as well. Then it will have the damped trd pro on the side of the bed like the tundra.

What would be nice if they did something like a functional hood scoop or some kind of different powertrain like someone else me tuons, but not gonna happen. Unfortunately, it is just going to lose performance due to the added weight.

Your comparing apples to oranges. Yes this is a hybrid, but it's main function of the electric motor is instant horsepower, not fuel savings like you'll find in the production models.

I wouldn't say the 4runner grill and the Tacoma grill are exactly alike.

I don't disagree with you, thats the benefit of an electric motor, but how does that benefit a truck?

agreed, by definition it is a hybrid. A multi-million dollar hybrid using a power train that we will never see in production

Thats because its a rolling laboratory. That tech eventually trickles down to the common mans vehicles.

Yeah i didn't get that close up of the grill on the 4runner, just put in trd pro. From a distance the grill looks very similar, atleast the stamped toyota part.

A hybrid motor gives you instant torque and power vs any mechanical engine.

Obviously that's the extreme side but look at a Lexus LS600h (20mpg V8) or BMW activehybrid 3 (28mpg twin turbo v6) Obviously still expensive luxury cars but the notion that all hybrids are dogs is false.
