You have to compare exact same options. The site that 850guy linked shows the cast boards run $630 + 68.17 for shipping $698.17 total and then you have to install them yourself.

Point is the dealerships put all these add-ons and inflate the prices so you have option lists that say 5000 plus dollars. They had truck bed lighting listed on the offer they gave me that cost 199$. The same led lights are available for 50$. The Toyota all weather mats were listed at 299. Again available online for 90...http://trdparts4u.toyotaofdallas.com/scripts/prodView.asp?idproduct=-10743 Heres the link. It all adds up. Then if they add documentation fees and dealer fees and clear coats you end up with a crazy inflated price that doesn't reflect the value of the truck. Whats the point of having a good resale value if you over paying for everything...

exactly.. at this point, I didn't want to get any other accessories. I'll probably just get from a different site. I don't mind installing it.

Trying to buy from AZ to bring back to CA.

Dealer says this would be the breakdown in prices
    AZ state tax 5.6%
    Additional CA state tax 2.4%
County and city tax 2.45% for AZ.
    -Does that sound right?

    MSRP: $35,748.00 (Truecar)
    Offer Price: $34,187.00 (Truecar)
    OTD: $38,560.00

    How does this deal sound?

($350 for rental cars flights and a night in a hotel and including gas on the ride back)

I got this same truck (dealer threw in the bed mat), in MGM, here in MA for $33,363.68 before taxes and whatnot. Came out to $36k, just a hair over actually, out the door here. Looks like you're paying roughly $1500 more in taxes and fees than I am.

I don't see a separate line item for County or City Tax in my estimate. Mine just says "estimates sales tax"

BTW- Use the MSRP from this forum. Or Costco Auto. The True Car MSRP doesnt jive. Looks like that's closer to sticker price than you think

    Wow What dealer?
My best friend who sells in Burlington gave me a price back in Dec "friends & family" that made me laugh.
That is good news for here finally some sanity in pricing.
    Congrats.

Post the detail and proof. Was it a special deal? Or did you use the incentives like military and college grad? I find it hard to believe if it was just a straight discount.

Sounds too good to be true. Prob charged TDA and dealer fees on top of it. But I'll eat my words if it turns out to be true.

Sorry guys. Truck will be delivered in 6-8 weeks. I got the initial price from a dealer in NY and my local dealer matched. I'll provide dealer info when truck comes in. Don't want to ruin anything. Here is the break down. No student kick backs or anything. image.jpg

I ran the build on Costco Auto and they have an invoice price of $35k. Looks like my deal is right at invoice.

I went in with a quote from local credit union of 1.99%. I gave the dealer the chance to meet/beat to simplify things and they did. I haven't done all the paperwork yet so I don't know who's backing it. I'll post back when I know more. They still need to locate a truck for me or have one built to my specs.

Sloane from Malvern, PA. Steve S. is the Sales Manager who made the deal happen. I suppose nothing is finalized until they locate a truck for me but current experience has been very positive. My deposit is made and the price/financing set. Steve is good to go!
