Just make sure you drill the exact right size hole. Each different size has a recommended drill bit size. You can add a washer on the outside, but you're out of luck on the inside.

Then you're good to go. I wouldn't hesitate to use them. You'll crunch the glass a bit when you compress them, but that won't hurt the install.

Do be gentle with the hood though. :D

I'm running a Glassworks hood and the hinge area was actually aluminum under the fiberglass, so I just tapped the aluminum piece and use the stock hardware with pins up front.

What kind of weight savings are you all seeing with the glass hood?

Hardly any at all lol. 1st gen hoods are light. Mostly it's a cosmetic upgrade. Adding a hood scoop or louvers ect..

I know not everyone is crazy about the All Pro kits but I got this gently used set for a price I couldn't pass up yesterday. Kit and Fox LT coilovers with DSC resis for $2000. All hardware in the extra box, including limit straps, extended brake lines, tie rod extensions, etc...

I have a McNeil fiberglass hood and it came with a metal bracket glassed in that all I had to do was add washers and nuts and align it then tighten them.

I took the truck out to the abandon track by the house today. It was fun but I really need to get the rear done.

Amazon I'd guess is your best bet. I believe it just 1/8" hdpe. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong but I'd use that material if I was making one.
