Have you been resetting the Maintenance Required Counter when you do the oil changes?

At 4500 miles from the last reset the light will blink when started then go off. When you reach 5000 miles since the last reset it will come on solid until it is reset.

It is just a dummy light that goes off every 4500 - 5000 miles.

After your oil change do the following

    Turn key to on position

Make sure your odometer is set in actual milage

    Turn key off

Hold and keep holding your odometer select button while you turn the key to on

After 5ish seconds you will see the - - - - go away on your dash and see the actual milage

    Presto you are done

That was the procedure on my 2008, on the 2015 I had to switch From the Odometer to Trip A to Reset it.
