What have you done to your Tacoma today? 1st Gen Edition

Where can I get the remaned from? I was thinking of getting the kit from lce but that is a pretty penny and thats with the smaller calipers. And I was wanting to ask you a few questions too. What's a good pad for half and half off-road/street use? Rotors? As in the tundra rotors too!

 

I build zip lines, so I'm not too concerned about the weight of 5/16 cable, but it does tend to get smoshed and fuckered up on the bottom of the spool, on the other hand it's far more abrasion resistant, especially on our trails round here. (as you know) I figure if I really need more than 8k then I'll add a snatch block and almost double the single line pulling power. I also have the tools and supplies at my disposal to make either a secondary 3/8" or 1/2" cable. 100' of 7x19 3/8" only weighs 25 lbs. and 40 lbs for 1/2".

I built the course N. of hwy 50 at Parkdale with that 85' tower, for Royal Gorge Zip Line Tours. Still I'm leaning towards the synthetic rope, it just costs more $$. That said there are Warn factory rebates until March 31st.

Bonsai Design, were based outta Grand Junction, CO. That was a fun build, too bad we did it it in the middle of the summer. The big zips 3500' to 4000' with 3/4" cable tensioned up to 20k is where it gets exciting. I've used a 6:1 reeve system with 1/2" cable to tension those.

I've never driven a train in my life... I just got lucky, I grew up climbing, worked in construction, and was a facilitator for RGZ when the first course opened in the summer of '11. All of which helped the stars align. Like any job it has it's ups and downs. Kinda tired of working on the road, but it did give me the opportunity to see the East.

I still prefer Colorado to most places, I did well in choosing my parents and being borne here.

 

Yeah I love it here and I have a lot more to explore up north and on the western slope!
