Expected delivery date for shackles is Thursday... same as my CB antenna! The radio itself showed up yesterday and holy crap does it ever seem cheap! The silly little volume knob on it is so flimsy and asymmetrical it may as well be Roman's lonely noodle-knob!

Heh, my experience with them has been good, the 510s are solidly built units. Dunno.

PM me your address and I'll mail the base to you.

I don't think I'll be able to make it this weekend. Work is being a serious dbag plus it's probably best for me to stay home for my mothers birthday.

I can next weekend but the weekend after I remembered I have Comic Con to go to.

    :)

I have been rescheduled to work this weekend and the two guys that were being mandated to cover my shifts are already off the schedule. I'm not going to re-fuck them by taking the days again. I'm officially out, and Greg is officially a cocksucker for presenting the cancellation of the trip, prompting me to go back to work, then presenting the reincarnation of the trip. Bah!!!!!!!!!!!

I've always wondered what the coldest temp is one can sleep in a rooftop tent and still be comfortable.

According to my sleeping bag it's -22F but if I got the weather good for my RTT it'll probably keep cozy when I turn on my heater

    Roman should be fine.

I'm always wary of the sleeping bag numbers. I got a really good deal on a 0 degree bag and wanted to test it out. Keep in mind, this bag doesn't fully seal at the top which is something I'd sort of expect from a 0 degree bag... anyway, I slept out in the snow last winter on a 4 degree night to test it and I'll be damned if the bag didn't keep me alive. To be fair, once my body heat had melted the snow under my body and my bag became soaked I was miserable, but that's not the bag's fault.

I've camped into single digits. A good insulating pad and a quality bag is fine. Wear thermals and a beanie for extra warmth.

    No pussy heaters needed.
