Pulled this pile of stuff out of the engine bay the other day. Really cleaned stuff up.

Finally got about 15 minutes to work in the shop this morning before heading to the fiancé's house for Christmas. Here's where I am..

A guy from marlincrawler (hunter) sent me a whole carb and a little pile of other parts:

So I seperated them and was having problems with the larger side (2nd barrel to open) opening up:

So I took the two plates off of the carb base that Hunter sent me and put them on the old carb base that I already had. The reason I did this is because the plates on the old carb base I already had were so bent up they looked like potato chips and the ones from Hunter were nice and straight. :

And put them on the old carb base which is fully functional (sorry for the blurry pic):

    [IMG][/URL]

Now I have to move all these throttle linkage parts from the carb plate Hunter sent me:

    To this carb:

I know those pics are hard to follow cause it all looks the same. So here's a throwback to Chimney Rock down in Pell City, AL to give y'all something pretty to look at:

Got the truck running tonight! Runs 100% better than it did.

Pics of the propane set-up tomorrow & another big surprise that I have coming in!

Here's a shot of the engine bay after the propane install and I cleaned it up a bit:

I made a new driveshaft today from the one I broke and a spare i had..

I just had to take a drive so I "mounted" a tank and went to driving around the yard and fields. :D

Propane runs AMAZING! Its just so cool to be able to idle sitting on a steep hill and turn the truck off and it fire up without even rolling over. I mean as soon as I barely bump the key it fires. I am very happy with it.

Once I got done driving around for the day.. I mounted the tank up a little more sturdy (still gotta finish up the dovetail and bedline this spring when its warm):

This thing is in desperate need of some tires! I'm saving as much as I can every week. Something just always comes up..

    Buh-bye:

I'm building a custom dash and an all new wiring harness to go along with it. Gonna wire in some new gauges and really clean up and strip down the harness. Make it simple and near impossible to mess up.

Something sorta like this but with my own twists:

Just been cleaning up the inside. Got most of it out and gonna give it a good scrub down this afternoon if possible and take some pics cause I know that's what everyone likes.

I'm gonna go ahead and relocate the battery to the bed while I'm at all this.

One thing though. Want some input on this..

I finalized my wiring with my uncle last night who does hot rods and has wired a bunch.

The only thing he suggested was from the propane cut-off solenoid run the power wire through the oil sending unit and then to the relay. That way if I ever lose oil pressure, in the case of a roll over, it'll cut the relay off which will kill the fuel and ultimately the truck without me having to do anything.

I'm only worried that I'll get on something real steep and lose oil pressure for just a second while I'm climbing it and my truck will cut off. Do you guys ever lose oil pressure with your 22rs? I plan to run a quart over.

Input appreciated from the pro's.. @Gear Head @45acp @ajohnson or anyone else that wants to chime in.

I've lost oil pressure but it didn't seem to affect anything. Like a moron, I seafoamed. A couple weeks later, driving around town I noticed the oil pressure light would come on when I would come to a stop, but it would go off when I'd start driving again. Then I went on my trip to Wyoming, and the oil pressure slowly declined. I stopped for gas and checked the dipstick and it was bone dry. :anonymous: Drove another 20 miles to the closest town that had a vatozone and dumped 3 quarts in and continued on the trip. With all the blow-by getting burned up after seafoaming, I was losing approximately 1 quart every 500 miles. Never had an issue with it stalling though.

I've never noticed an oil pressure issue. I did lose brake pressure on a steep incline, my reservoir was not topped off and air got into the MC. That was quite an experience, right @Gear Head ?

I think I've decided to not do it. I don't wanna lose oil pressure on some short steep climb and my truck cut off when I don't need it to.

Bent a good bit of tube the last two days.. Unfortunately, it wasn't for my truck, but my tube bender works great and it was fun to get to mess around with it.

We added to bars going down from the back and the bar under the back window along with the two vertical bars and slanted bars from the cross bar to B-pillar bar.

Tried on his set of 37" red labels too. They measured 35" at the most mounted on the vehicle with about 10-12 psi in them. 36" Iroks should little bit bigger than these so they'll be plenty for now.

Nearly the whole tire is out from the dovetail..

Also, I start a new job Monday.. So maybe that'll help out with my spending money.

I'll be working two jobs now, but I also sign the lease on the mine and the fiance's new place next week so that'll create some bills.

This showed up at the house the other day for some work..

Full axle rebuild, new leaf spring bushings, making some new steering links, shackles, and maybe another thing or two.

I was jk... kinda. I am wanting a sami but wanting to start with something a little cheaper; that one looks like more than I'm willing to spend. Plus he'd have to have and ass load of cash haha.

Looking forward to seeing the wheels/tires on there!
