has this new div that makes it so if you get stuck then u press the button and ur back tires lock up and ur front are used to pull you out. how sick is that?


and you dont need 4x4.

alright so if u get stuck. like lets say u went to the desert of mountains or somthing and ur rear tires got stuck. you pres this button next to ur left knee that changes the differential and ur front 2 tires and able to pull you out. get it?

haha. its wasnt really a question it was just somthing they told me today. cuz i was thinking about the 4x4's but idk. =/ haha sorry guys i am a noob.

To be honest i don't know. but i am guessing some what enough to get you out of being stuck. it might be full power. =/ but i will find out 2marrow for sure cuz i am going back.

Yea i would like to know, but sometimes the sale people are full of it. Like when i bought my truck they tried to convince me that with the TRD offroad u get a locking limited slip differential, i just laugh and put it behind me.

 

I get it. A switch on the dash that'll pull you out when you're stuck without drive-train power to the front. That's totally a winch.

The only systems on the new trucks are atrack, vsc (or whatever it's called), e-locker with open diff, or LSD on the sports, and the 4wheel drive system.

As you're talking about locked, that'll narrow it down to the TRD Off-Road's. There are two variants: PreRunner (2wd, rear wheels only) and 4x4. On the PreRunner, there is absolutely, positively, zero power going to the front wheels. The rear locker helps youd o more than a 2wd should, but it's still not a 4x4. If you're serious about doing off-roading, don't make my mistake and do get a 4x4. The PreRunner is a great truck, but it won't hang with the 4x4's.
