It amazes me what gets thrown away... in the dumpster at my dads work. Defiantly did not grab a couple for holding my gear when camping.

My dad is a mechanical engineer for a company that makes underwater autonomous vehicles. Compared to the cost of the equipment new cases every few years is a good investment. He works for Hydroid they make really cool stuff.

Wow, sharks are incredibly powerful. That little thing took quite the beating.

 

Pretty tough machines, they are designed to go almost 4 miles underwater. It's what they used to find several of the airplanes that sunk off the mid ocean ridge.

 

Does anyone know of a good place in Massachusetts to bring my rig in for a ring & pinion swap? Thanks.

 

Ocean state crawlers in RI, and a handful of shops I don't have experience with. I was lucky enough to have a friend at a Toyota dealer to do it for free. I brought him the third member. It's important to find someone experienced with Toyota gear installs as they are apparently easier to mess up. A solid pinion spacer isn't a bad idea either.


No experience with this guy but iv seen some of his work and it looks well done. Maybe be a better deal than most shops.
