I keep busy, I average about 6 miles a night walking. I have about 1,000,000sq/ft to take care of and patient needs come first:thumbsup:

I would head to your PCP honestly. They should be your first line of defense for routine stuff unless it's an emergency, then of course call 911 or head to an ER.

I think a lot of patients/people in general neglect this, the immune system gets compromised and then they get sick. Sometimes you just need a day off to rest, lay in bed, sleep, and let the world pass by.

Not sure where you're located, but you might be able to find an outpatient clinic that will take walk-ins. They may or may not take your insurance, but usually it only takes an hour and you have a script (if you need it). They might even give you a work release depending on what tests they run or if they feel the need, etc. Most are staffed with a Dr. and a PA. I've had co-workers go out on vacation, come back and they are sick, it happens.

I hate my night shift. 8pm-8am. Watching 5 monitors, just sitting here. Most of the time, I am browsing/TW/craigslist/shopping, so its ok. But my social life is basically gone. Not so good for a single guy. There are 2 things that is good for night shift for me.. 16% shift differential, and the schedule.

week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday. Off Wednesday, Thursday
week 2: Wednesday, Thursday. Off Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday

Im desperately trying to get back to days.

Ouch... 8p to 8a? That blows, single or not single. I work 10:30p to 7a during the week. You definitely need a day shift with a shit schedule like that.
