Does anyone have light racing UCA's? Or are you running stock? I've been considering getting some new UCA's and don't know which ones to get.

I have them, have sort of a neutral opinion of them. Both UBJs failed around 20k miles with muddy metal nastiness inside and we're so badly worn out that the cup was barely retaining the ball. Neutral because I have learned I probably caused this failure (and my alignment issues) by having my Toytec coil overs cranked to 3" with 1/2" top plates yielding almost 4" of lift. I'd say if you keep your lift in spec they would probably be fine.

We're pretty stacked with recovery equipment, as long as you have good recovery points on your truck. Snatch strap is good, winch would be better lol.

I've read that the UBJs that come with them aren't that great. I saw someone on the here is selling a used set for $175 but needs new bushings and UBJs. That seems like a pretty good deal. I've just been looking at some UCAs cause I can't get my alignment right.

Just give her power of attorney. That's what I did when I couldn't be there to sell a house. I had my realtor sign each one of my documents with my full name and power of attorney of sale of house address. It was great and she was pissed but hey she made a lot of money on commission so I was not worried on bit.

Cut & broke off stuff. Prolific ziptie and tape usage.
    I have LR UCAs.
Ran them for about 50,000 miles on my prerunner. I sold that truck, rebuilt the UCAs, and now they've been on my 4x4 for about 5,000 miles.
SPC gave me the ball joints under warranty and I think I paid ~$25 to get the new SpecRide bushings. Not entirely sure the original balljoints or bushings were really bad but I had a front end noise on the old truck that we thought could have been the UCAs so we took care of it before I installed them on the new truck. The customer service at SPC was awesome.

Yep. I got mine second hand from a member on here. One of the ball joints was shot, the other soon to be. It had the old style bushings that were cracking. So i ordered a set of the updated spec ride bushings and threw new ball joints in, and a fresh satin black paint job..... needless to say, i have had a new set of LR uca's on my truck since August and they've been great so far.

3 D-rings (keep one on the front and one on the back of your truck attached to a shackle point or pull point and keep the other attached to your snatch strap or tow rope). This makes it easier to attach the two together when your truck is buried in 3' of mud.

Snatch strap. Arb makes a great one (it's orange) or any other quality snatch strap.

2 jacks. Stock Toyota jack works great and at least a 48" high lift jack. Bring a block of wood to make the jack taller and something flat like a section of plywood to use for a solid base incase you're in a muddy spot

Winch. Anything that operates is better then none at all.

Portable air. Any kind of air compressor will work for blowing back up a de-beaded tire.

Can of combustible liquid. Helps seat a de-beaded tire.

Ratchet strap. Helps seat a de-beaded tire.

Lighter. Helps seat a de-beaded tire.

Everett. Helps seat a de-beaded tire.

A camera. To record Everett using an air compressor, a ratchet strap, a can of starter fluid and a lighter to help seat a de-beaded tire.

Some liquor and/or beer. To get you drunk while you laugh at and record Everett using an air compressor, a ratchet strap, a can of starter fluid and a lighter to help seat a de-beaded tire.
Snatch strap is better for this trip. Not much to winch up. Unless you're like me and drive one wheel off the edge of a cliff and bury your driveshaft in the ground, then a winch is most helpful. Haha

Hahaha I'm sure she laughed. I was gonna put her as a recovery tool as well but she's not coming so I left it off the list.

Snap Strap which is also a "recovery strap" right? Also I was reading that the factory tow hooks is not a good recovery point so any suggestions? I also have a bull bar but not a hug fan of it been considering taking it off. I have access to a cheetah bead seater air tank if you think we will need it.

yes sir. This guy right here .........

    http://www.amazon.com/ARB-ARB705US-2-3-Recovery-Strap/dp/B004P9DQLC

The factory tow hooks are fine for now as long as you can get a shackle into them and take the bull bar off before the trip. You will probably end up ripping it off and causing more damage then without it. and we dont need a cheetah. I was just answering your question of what you needed. That small list would get you out of anything at LBL if you were alone but as mentioned, a lot of us already have this stuff so theres not a NEED for you to bring any of it. Its just a good habit to get into cause if you cant trust anyone else, at least you can trust yourself

Cheetah's are fun to make potato guns from. We used one to shoot a Vitamin Water through a piece of plywood. They will also blow a grown mans shirt off if you get the angle right.

On another note, I ordered some stuff for the truck today. Nothing too terribly exciting though. Clazzio seat covers and some seat heaters, ADV Monster model 60s to replace my cheapie LED cubes I have now. Trying to decide if I want to do a snorkel or not.
