Greetings all. Time to give a little something back to the group with this. So, there is a dealership based from California that is now selling the silver (always relatively easy to get) and the Gun Metal Anthracite (not so easy to get and usually jacked up on the price) FJ Cruiser Rims. Yeah, they are not the coveted black Trail Teams ones, but I gave up on that. I'm not laying down 1-2 grand for OEM rims. Anyways, the auction has buy it now prices for $525 for a set of 4, (either color) and a reasonable shipping fee of about 80 bucks. I talked to a guy named Scott via email. He said the Gun Metal Anthracite ones are being released into the main stream again so they are not under lock and key like the black trail team wheels. What that means is that you can probably roll into your local dealership and order a pair again and not get hoses by guys that want a grand for them because "that's what they have into them." $525 is a good deal, as these list for $150 a piece from the dealer, when you could get them. I ordered 5 of them myself yesterday. I am anxiously awaiting their arrival.

UPDATE: I found out today that you can use the BING search engine to get 8% back on this purchase. So you can save an additional $42. See Simon's Mom for details........

Here's the links for the eBay auctions. Silver is the first link and Gun Metal is the 2nd.

Ugh....when I went to eBay to get the links to the auctions, now I see you can "make an offer" and get them for even LESS! I feel screwed already. Man, a guy just can't win. Anyways, enjoy all!

Oh it's better than a "buy it now".....It's a buy it now option, with an even better "make an offer" option as well. You could be able to get them for even less than $525. Tell me more about this 8% Bing search engine thing you're talking about. And if you buy some from these guys, give them a hard time for me for accepting lower offers 24 hours after I bought 5 wheels at full asking price. I told the guy I was gonna post his auction on our message boards and to look the "F" out, 'cause his 5 sets of Gun Metal would be gone by the end of the week.

I bought these from the seller a month or so ago and they're the real deal. They come with valve stems and lug nuts. Someone else on this forum sent him a Best Offer of $500 and he accepted.

What size/brand tires did you end up going with. I know this is the most over-done question on this site, but what's the biggest tire I can run with no lift on these rims without rubbing issues? I want it to look a little tougher, but I fear the lift as my car rode like crap after I lowered it years back so I'm off the opinion now days if it ain't broke don't f*#k with it.

I put on a Toytec 3" Ultimate lift and then had the stock BFG 265/70R16s swapped from my 16" Off-Road rims and onto the TRD ones. I wanted to wear down the stockers before upsizing. Btw, I love the way my Toytec rides now. For the first week it rode rough...real rough. But then the springs wore in and everything buttered up nicely.

But, based on what I read from this forum, I had intended to upsize to a 285/75R16s w/ Spidertrax spacers or just get 265/75R16s.

Sweet! Thanks SS! I was planning on getting new tires in the spring so I'll keep this in mind. Hopefully my hurricane damaged truck thing will be solved by then.

That is incorrect. My TOTAL shipping charge for FIVE RIMS was $110. It will be a TOTAL of $80 shipping for a set of FOUR.
