I love it....keeps the bed free. people come up to me all the time and comment on the rack.....more so than anything else about the truck.

 

I'll eventually make one 4in tall half the length of @Warputer just to hold a roof basket

 

I have a toolbox in my bed, I would want to keep. I am sure I can install it , just need to figure out how high to make the rack, so I can open the lid enough

 

who am I kidding LOL ...I need to resist right now...

 

We've made one to work with a toolbox...

 

Offset it.....instead of the rack being just short of the truck rear, have it start just behind the tool box.....the racks slide forward & back in the bed rails anyways when the T-bolts are loosened.

 

I think that is how @rogs6266 was running his, with a TB.

 

I was thinking the samething. But in my head it sounded dumb haha

Damn that reminded me I still need to order that rear resi mount. I have so much to do in so little time

 

well dam, if all i am doing is running a tire and highlift, his might work for me. I am a 6' bed, would just center it up between the back of the TB and the back of the truck.

 

His is a 6' bed also its a long bed
