It makes sense to mount them like you have them because of how the top shock mount is cut out. I had them just like that but after hitting a few hard bumps they made contact with the rear axle. So I turned them in a position that did not look correct but does not make any contact with anything.

 

Anyone know how to rewire this thing? The dog got bored and chewed it up. I have three zones. 2 do the lawn and 1 does the planter. I guess I could find the booklet but wasn't sure if someone here could shed some light on it as well.

First zone on my rainbird dial is the bottom. Then the middle. The planter is the top one (which is currently on since I am manually turning them on to water the grass.)

Pretty easy really, the bundled wires are low volt hard copper, these are you're stations ( zone 1 zone 2 etc these tie into the solenoids (little round fuckers) & can be wired with either lead off solenoid (translation: you can't fuck up cause either will work polarity wise)

So the zones were already set and then the dog chewed up the wires. So I just have to wire it up, turn the zones on and if they work good shit and if they don't just rotate the wires around?

 

I'm only allowed Monday & Thursday. Where the county over has no limits...even though I'm on the border of Claremont/La Verne. Either way I just want to fix the wiring. My planter is on a drip system.

 

one of the four wires is the common, one wire from each solenoid goes to the common (doesn't matter which one).
if you open up the controller you should be able to figure out which wire is the common and which wire controls zone 1, zone 2, and zone 3.
