I recently upgraded to the 2016 Tacoma TRD Sport and specifically asked for the JBL sound system when I ordered. It was delivered without JBL and was wondering if there are 2 Technology packages for the Tacoma?

There's a "Premium & Technology Package (Double Cab)," and a "Premium & Technology Package with JBL® Audio (Double Cab A/T Only)."

Shopping for my first Tacoma now - originally wanted a used tacoma but it seems almost impossible to find a good deal in New England. That morphed into a used 4runner, same deal, so that has morphed into a new Tacoma and here I am. Got my first offer today; looking for a Double Cab and honestly I'm impartial to most of the other packages though I would *highly* prefer a manual, I'm not dead set on getting one. First offer was for model 7540G, a double cab SR5. Has the towing package and SR5 appearance package ($850 option) and the tow package. MSRP was listed at $33,678 (includes $900 Maine dealer/delivery processing fee). Internet sales rep offered it for $31,586. Using this thread it looks like invoice is roughly $30,000, so I should have a bit of wiggle room on price.

I've got feelers out to two different dealerships in the area, so I'm curious to see what they reply with. I'm not sure if it matters, but I'm looking to lease opposed to buy, and then probably buy out the lease if the truck still makes sense 3 years from now. Buying now is cost-prohibitive plus I've got a kid on the way so I want to make sure a double cab is providing me enough space, my trade in is probably going to be negligible.

Thoughts? Suggestions? Do I hold out for my dream of still driving a stick and keeping my cost under $33k?

Then that's to much, but I don't live in California either, so I can say. I'm getting a Sr5 black 4x4 with tow and Appearenve package/W sonar for 33,xxx so your paying about 3 grand more than me, I'm in Indiana. You will have to make the call being in CA.

Different tax rates plus more demand then supply in CA. Can't compare the two.

I picked up my TRD OR 4x4 Double Cab at Freeman Toyota in Santa Rosa, CA. Salesman was super cool and gave it to me for $36,046. Came with Premium & Technology Package with JBL Audio and Tow Package.

Put a deposit down on my first ever new vehicle Saturday. '16 Double Cab 4x4 OR manual transmission without many other options (all season mats, mud guards, tow package) for roughly $32k out the door. Was the best of my three dealership comparisons and they happened to be the friendliest and easiest dealership to work with as well, all in Maine.

Dealer finally got my 7542 TRD Sport 4x4 Double Cab with JBL Tech in where we agreed on $250 over invoice which he is telling me now is $38733 including all weather floor mats and black steps. Seems close but the sticker price is $39624, which includes FE, FP, TC, TO, R2, F1, I1, G1. I tried to figure out from the first post but didnt come close. Any help? Gulf States dealer. I was thinking for invoice should have been about $1800 off sticker for about $37,800

Ask to see the dealer invoice page. They probably won't print it out for you, but they should have no problem showing it to you on the computer. Then do the math with 250 over invoice. When it doesn't match, ask where the extra $xxxx is coming from.

I don't know what your price includes, but if it is out the door, then you could be getting $250 over invoice (great!) but paying a $800 dealer fee (uhhh...not so great?)
