Recode door locks to stock key - any reason I shouldn't do it myself?

    Hey guys!

These instructions seem pretty straight forward to me minus the work of getting the cylinder about of the door.

Background: The truck I just purchased had been repossessed in the past and the lean holder had the locks changed. The previous owner was using an aftermarket remote start and keyless entry system so it was never an issue for him. I'd prefer to have the keys work just as a manual backup in case of some electrical problems.

Should I just get a locksmith to do this? Any pit falls to consider given the keyless entry system?

Yup. The seller didn't explicitly disclose that and I didn't think to ask when he mentioned he purchased the truck from the bank that repoed it. I'm tempted to pester to him for some of my money back. I certainly wouldn't have agree to the price had I known this little fact. It's not the end of the world, or even a hard thing to fix it seems. But it is the principle of the matter.

Fixed the locks! It was kind of fun. Took me 20 mins to do the second vs an hour for the first.
