Damn I wish I could get rid of the lbjs altogether but it isnt a race truck! Do the uniballs require some extra tlc? Im not in a salty or snowy climate.

Also, are my cv axles or tierods going to die with a longer coilover? Cvs are already at a decent angle from my coilovers set to 2"

What's the general consensus on using a solid spacer in the front diff vs a new oem crush sleeve? I got a solid spacer for the rear but I'm finding conflicting info for the front.

WHy the hell would there be conflicting info???

Of either of them, that's the one you definitely want to have a solid spacer. You can't check the backlash on it or even the wear without putting it all back together. If you are off, you have to take it apart, and that means you used up the crush sleeve and you need another one.

The solid ones are eaiser to dial in, hold their position, and are reuseable.

    Solid all the way.

Zuk has used oem ones on his page, (he doesn't add them until he has the backlash dialed in so they don't get crushed) and a few other local's used them also. Just looking for more info before I tear into the front for the first time.

Well, email Zuk. He is a great guy and will respond within a day or two every time. I used solid collars though in both diffs.

That sounds like its taken out of context.

All the Zuk write-ups I have ever read indicate in them to use a solid spacer instead of a crush sleeve for the reasons Monte mentioned.

Got my cb installed and wired. Anyone know how much farther back the 90 degree connector for the antenna wire will move it back?

I had to use a 90* and when you push it in you gotta maneuver shit around behind to make it work. But with work you can get hella flush.

Are we allowed to say "hella flush" on this forum? I thought that was reserved for xrunners only?

Maybe with with the context like "I mounted the hella (light) flush with the front of the bumper"? Still feels dirty.

It will move it up to that line that you can see above the radio, behind the faceplate. I did it on mine. If you want it flush you'll have to heat up the vent tube that is back that massage it back some with the butt of a screwdriver or something round.

That's what I used and it kinda sucks, I have to shove it back up every now and then. I'll fiddle with it sometime in the summer when I'm redoing my electrical wiring
