Thanks! I haven't had a chance to touch the design in a couple weeks, so I don't know when I'll be making a prototype yet, but it will be made from ABS or a Urethane based material. It will depend on what I can afford to go to production with. To have that part manufactured it would cost about $100,000 to get started, which I don't have just laying around at the moment XD

Their money is better spent on that than drinking and drugs; though a seven year loan would be unadvisable. TFS should make money, this is a free market system and people have freedom to choose- Love Milton Friedman.

I disagree...I think the toyota grill on the new trd pro is perfect. It's actually probably my favorite cosmetic part of the vehicle. (shocks obviously being the best) I think big ass letters would make it look kinda it's too much or "in your face"...i mean look at what ram did with their pickups, i think it looks hideous.

I also prefer toyota over tacoma, just think it looks original. I do, however, think you did a great job with that design. Keep up the good work.

Also for the people who said they wished the tacoma hood skoop was functional, someone else posted an article on kbb saying that it was. Something makes me think that it is wrong though because i feel like we would have heard it in the debut or interview or any of the other videos of it because that seems like a pretty big thing.

Here is the article - http://www.kbb.com/car-news/all-the-latest/2017-toyota-tacoma-trd-pro-returns/2100000295/

Second paragraph, second sentence - above "playing dirty" in bold.
"Key visuals include a heritage-inspired black grille, TRD Pro aluminum front skidplate, LED foglamps and DRLs, a custom hood with functional scoop, and 16-inch black-finish TRD alloy wheels wrapped in Goodyear Wrangler All-Terrain Kevlar-reinforced tires."

Pictures of the ram with the letters I was referring to. Front doesn't look too bad (lots of chrome though), rear is just disgusting: http://pictures.topspeed.com/IMG/crop/201502/2016-ram-laramie-limited-7_1280x0w.jpg

In other news, we've been in the market for a 4runner. Showed the wife the new pictures of the Cement color 4runner and she was instantly sold and gave me the green light to purchase as soon as it's released if I want to wait. Fall can't get her soon enough..mine, all mine!!!

Awesome looking truck, but I'm still stoked on my '16 TRD 4x4 Sport. More truck than I really need, so no reason to 'trade up', but I can see how many here are chomping at the bit to get one! I do think the TRD Pro badges on the side are a little too big, but thats all personal opinion. I mean, my TRD Sport has the hood scoop and the hood decal, and many thing those two features are fugly!

Sorry a lot of pages to read on this thread and just want to know....
Does this truck have a new Trd intake and exhaust? I'll be buying that grille for my super white TRD OR! And maybe the black headlight and tail light bezels. And after I put 2.5 Fox or Walker Evans suspension on my truck the Pro won't have shit on my truck!

    Intake, exhaust, lift. Typical stuff.
From what I gathered from the Facebook release:

    Performance:
    -Fox coil overs non resi
    -Fox Resi rear shocks
-Progressive rear springs - 4 leafs
-1" wider stance up front - Wasn't specified if the stance comes form longer lower control arms or if there are any changes in travel
    -1/4" Alu skid plate
-4.1 or 4.3 rear depending on transmission (I'm guessing 4.3 for manual)

    Cosmetic:
    -100% better grill
    -Leather Seats
    -Badges/shift knob/etc...

    Misc:
    -Rigid fog lights
    -Inclinometer (electronic)
    -Manual Trans Option

The new color is great. However, it's kinda lame that you can't get a long bed or a sunroof. It's kind of like the off road, sport and limited all smashed together with a small lift. I guarantee this model will run $41-43k no doubt about it. I'm happy with my long bed and tech. I'll look into the tail lights, head lights and shifter in a year or so.

mats, flaps, and stickers. Extang solid fold 2.0. Mobtown sliders and full skids. AVS vents
For those that don't want to do the work on their own, this will be a decent option. Personally, I'll mod my '16 OR to an equally, or more, capable truck for less $$.

I do like the skids from what I've seen.

Nether did I! I merely replied to your seeming obsession with $$$ and I suggest there are worse things to spend money on than a truck.
