Can you really get it hot all the way through in an hour? I also do the refrigerator thing and reheat later in the week, but a hunk of meat like that takes a long time to heat all the way through. I usually cut it up in a few smaller pieces, but then it tends to dry out easier. Just curious....

just mix it up and put it in the fridge...and if you arent ready to make a pizza you can freeze it for a month or so, you just have to let the dough thaw thoroughly before you can work it.

No, not in an hour. Just typing fast and missed it. Since it's already cooked you don't need to hit 160f. I go with the oven at 350, wrap the ham in foil or put in a roasting pan and cover with foil, add a little juice (pineapple mixed w/apple) and heat until internal temp gets to 140f then pull it to rest for 20-30 min. Baste with juices a few times along the way. I did this at Christmas and a few other times and it was not dry.

@ryanjboutin oh, master of all things bacon....how do i get my bacon crispy when baking? I tried to make a bacon wrapped pork roast the other night and it turned out OK but the bacon never got crispy. I was thinking about putting on the stovetop for a few minutes to see if it would crisp up....

My two cents... yes, par cook the bacon for a few minutes on stovetop until the fat begins to turn opaque, then wrap.

when i worked in the restaurant and we cooked bacon in the oven with just a flat sheet and foil.

the way you had done it, i would have turned on the broiler for a few mins

No matter how you do it, just get it a third cooked before wrapping.

Y'all doing the Valentine's Day dinner thing?? We avoid the restaurant markups and enjoy ourselves at home. Grilling some prime ribeyes and maybe some roasted taters and veggies.:hungry: Any other suggestions?? :anonymous:
