What Have You Done To Your 3rd Gen Today?

Love the way dark tint looks extra dark on white vehicles. Is that 5% all around? That's what I got. I was going to get 3% but I wanted to be able to see a little at night. Lol

 

When you do a start dies it drop in idle due to the clamps not being very tight?

 

Had to put my cheaters on. Thought for a minute this was some cool turbocharger

they prolly won't let me take the grille then.. I don't have a replacement. But it didn't come with any steps so hopefully they let me get those.... But I do understand what you said. Makes sense, and I appreciate you sharing this info with us.

 

Did my first oil change @ 3645 miles. Don't really like the style of filter, but no big deal. Swapped to the Toyota aluminum housing as well as was recommended in another thread. I think the OEM plastic housing would be fine over time though.

 

You run into any warranty issues with the lift ? Looks great !

 

Did you get them from FN as well?

 

There is a company that makes an adapter so you can use a spin on. Bad news is it $159. I think we will get use to the filter after a couple changes. I remember when we had canister filters on small and big block Chevy trucks. Aging myself.

 

i have this exact compressor bouncing around in the back of my 2006 Tacoma (yes, i have a cap)

 

My 2014 was totaled. I just found out the insurance company sold it for $17,500. Why would there be such a big difference?

It has happened to me a couple of times (totaled vehicles). I also like to mod my rides. On both occasions I asked if I could have a few parts (wheels, bumpers, grills on both etc). They said I could have them, but they would deduct the value from my claim check. I end up paying $150 for all four wheels and tires. I think it was $50 for each bumper. They had a chart/scale. It never hurts to ask. That's just my experience.

 

Did you make your own mount? Any pictures of it? Looks good!

 

My trucks suspension has been squeaking since 3k mile everytime I go up or down a dip. When I took It to the dealership the mechanic said that it was "normal" so I just left it at that and now I don't hear the speaking/creaking anymore

Geez man, I'm really sorry to hear that. These fools should be banned from driving all together.

I mean no disrespect when I say this but I hope it is totaled. Hopefully this will get you into a new truck so you don't have to worry about having a wreck on it's record.
