I have been searching high and low for some details about the third brake light screw on second gen Tacomas :help:. I will be forever grateful if someone can help me solve this mystery.

    so here it goes...

What size are the screws that are used to attach the third brake light on the cab. I know the tacoma part number is 90189-04145 but this is not the point. I want to buy the same screw thread pitch, thread diameter, and head diameter, but longer length. This means I cant buy the replacement

    Here is what I know...
    I measured the following
    • Thread Diameter ~.153"
    • Thread Pitch (distance between threads) ~.057"
    • Screw Length ~.705"
    • Head Diameter ~.293" (not as important)
I have no clue if it is metric or not. Best I can tell is it is some crazy #7 (M3.9) self tapping pan head automotive screw (which I cant find anywhere). I tried #8 wood screws but they were slightly too large and #6 wood screws were slightly too small. I have exhausted all of my searching ideas so now I am looking to you guys for help.

    Any thoughts out there.

Unfortunately Ace doesn't have it. I have done a lot of homework before this point so it doesn't appear to be that simple.

Fastenal has a M3.9 which is great but it is far too short and clipsandfasteners doesn't seem to carry anything that size. Thank you for the help though
