Hit the ground running!!!!!!!!!!! Today is gonna be a busy one. 5 separate meetings to sign contracts for upcoming projects here @ work. Just glad I don't have to pay for these personally!

24 degrees, snow on the way (in the next hour or so) Cold weekend forecast. And the wife has her death of colds......My turn to play nurse.....

Walked in the house yesterday just to have one of our birds land on my shoulder. She wasn't supposed to be out. One of our dogs would have made a meal out of her had she landed in the wrong spot. I'm still shaking after that. Love my birds!

Good Morning all. Enjoying the week with the kids and grandkids. Upper 80°s over 50°s at night all week here. Sooo nice! Woke early so catching up on TW a little.

Good Morning 50's.
It was 3 degrees above this morning,and this weekend ain't gonna get better.

My turn in the barrel now. Picked up some fever, chills, and snotty head. Haven't had this in several years.
Called in sick today,no fun being in the bucket when your head feels like it's in a plastic bag. So, I'm planning on making one run in about an hour. Bank, grocery store and CVS to stock up cold supplies so I can crash and burn till Tuesday.

Wood rack is full and all I need is a gallon of NyQuil. That'll fix me good,lol.

Thought I'd share this. Right down the road from where we live! VERY cool place! From my driveway, I can be in the park in less than 20 minutes.

 

You make it in and back ahead of the snow; a van in snow through the mountains would not be my first choice either.

 

Good Luck Bucktales....I hope you feel better. Today is the best I've felt in over a week, in crossing my fingers that I've turned the corner. I took tons of OTC stuff, the only thing that seemed to work for me was Nyquil Cold and Flu geltabs. I hope you feel better soon

Lol no kidding I can handle the heat just not that humidity that we have on the East Coast....

 

Good evening 50's! Been in the ER and hospital more than I care the last few day, but not for me. Got the youngest kid out of the hospital this morning and they called us back to come in ASAP this afternoon. Turns out the pain he has had in his chest and back are from fractures in the bones finally showing up on the radiology scans. No idea why it didn't earlier but am thankful it isn't cancer again or at least they don't think so. No PET scans over the weekend or advanced tests, hopefully they will not be needed. Chemo weakened the bones and he has had a lot of falls over the last year. I have to honestly say I am getting too old for this chit...

A good thing through all of this I realized today is every time I pick him up and drop him off he says I love you to me. Until this happened he said that maybe 3 times in 24 years. And he seems to mean it. Things are not so bad in the overall picture, some good some ugly

Hope everyone has a great weekend! -18 tonight, I'd take some of that Cali weather right now please send some East just a little bit further!

Good Morning all.

Great evening playing miniature golf and riding some roller coasters with the kids and grandkids yesterday. I still love rollercoasters; we don't have any in AK, so I never pass up the chance when we're near one. Wife's Aunt and Uncle met us at the mini-park too, good time.

Mike, Godspeed to you and yours, I was gunna whine about the wind blowin up my skirt here at the rock pile, but, it's obvious I have less to endure than you my friend!

 

It is pretty nice ... for a day and a half longer.

Just checked, you're 2 degrees colder than back at our house in Palmer, AK. This makes 3 yrs in a row of odd Winters ... starting to think there might be something to this global warming stuff.
