I feel like this could end with a Zona story like

Took my father in law to the game and we got trashed and ended up getting thrown out of a titty bar when he tried to get a handy from the stage talent.

Naw he's got a bad gambling problem. Could easily end up with us in Vegas and a kilo of Coke at the poker table.

Evap Module on the driver fender I think. The P0442 Evap Small Leak is detecting a leak as small of 0.040".

I know smoke is the best way to find the leaks.. otherwise its a guessing game replacing parts to find it. You think that's the best place to start Ryan?

Not enough to throw a semi-expensive part at it. I do remember that being the part/area to focus on.

Both the solenoids are mounted to the canister there. Otherwise, it's a line from there to the intake, there to the gas tank, and the gas cap.

At least maybe pull it and look for cracks.

    The VSV.

EDIT: everything else I'm finding points to the charcoal canister at the tank.

The Vent and Purge Solenoid Valves are Mounted to the Charcoal Cannister with the Service Port on the Driver Fender. Check the Canister for cracks/leaks. Check the hoses for cracks/looseness. Check the solenoids for poor operation.

Anyone ever have their chrome grill painted as opposed to dropping the 200 on a color matched grill? Just curious as to price, durability etc to see if it's even worth the trouble.

    Tbh?

I got the Perf mesh for the Satoshi grill for xmas. I had an idea to hydro dip it which turns out not possible. Then figured I'd wait to get a color matched grill instead. Then of course my tight wad mode kicked in and I start trying to find a cheaper alternative. Haha.

So start with the VSV's in the engine bay? then move to the canister?

Hmmm, maybe my 99 was different. The VSVs were mounted to a canister on the fender well. I would focus on all of that first.

1 of my solenoids was weak/wouldn't seal when hot. I can't remember which codes it triggered.

ok I was confused too.. lol everything I have been seeing shows the canister on the tank, but the VSV's in the engine bay. regardless.. its in that system right? its just process of elimination/checking for symptoms like you said.
