bein a newb,(and no knowledge of these taco's) if ya have "inline cats" you can reduce from 4-2 , but manifold cats, not so much

 

You'd better never move to a state with annual inspections and not be able to drive your truck because they keep failing it.

 

We have bi yearly emissons but they only look for cats under the truck no one is crawling under them to see if you have 18 government mandated cats

 

What if it doesn't pass emissions?

I'd never do it on a daily driver/street vehicle. Just not worth the hassle.

 

Why wouldn't it? It's a new truck they only plug them in and check for a code. URD sells the simulators to keep the code from being thrown when you delete the front cats.

 

I had to get new cats on the 4cly luckily it was under warranty cause they wanted like 450 just for parts.

 

What if they put the emissions thing in your exhaust tip to check for co2 output and such?

 

Even if they do an exhaust check with 2 working cats you'll be fine. Hell my cars in the 90s only had one cat.

 

But by all means, you run your truck your way because they do frown upon deleting cats... But that's a risk I'll run its not for everyone

 

I'll write him up a invoice for emission related repairs in excess of $450 so he can get a 2 year waiver.

 

I prefer dogs over cats but that's just me
